THere is no way to add on numbers to your sold orders, but if you like you can put in your shop announcement or your about page that you work is sold (insert place here)...

Just a thought, but if it's something you don't mind making again. Add it to your listings as "Sold", But would be happy to personally make you a special one very similar.
Something along those lines. I do that with some of my paintings, if it's one that I know I can do again.

The only way an Etsy listing can be shown as sold is if it's purchased through Etsy.

You can't because it was not sold on Etsy but if you have a twitter or facebook page for your business then you could say it on there that you are making sales offline? I have a twitter page and I normally say that I am going to craft and vintage fairs on there.

I had a similar question. I sell my items at the " real life" shop. If something listed on etsy gets sold elsewhere, what to do? I wrote a question in etsy help and got a reply that I should promptly remove the listing. Now if I can make the same or similar item again, can I just deactivate the listing and then activate again?

I deactivate listings that i sell offline
I typically cannot create the exact same listing
however
i will make an item in a similar color and style
then update the listing
and reactivate

Yes, updating and reactivating may be a good idea, if parts and supplies are available to repeat the item, then why not?

Re: what to do with site when I sell one from home?

I sell in a local store and can easily duplicate my booties if a pair sell off line. I either deactivate the Etsy listing and then reactivate when another pair is made - or recently I added "made to order" on the Etsy listing that I do not have in stock to ship right away. I only did this because my shop was getting pretty thin over Christmas. The sweaters are clearly OOAK and cannot be reproduced so if one sells off line in my shop then I immediately deactivate it on Etsy. The risk is always that the same item will sell in both places at the same time and then there is a mess to clean up with the Etsy customer. Luckily that has never happened to me.

I sold a baby blanket that I can not remake on another site and I deactivated it on my etsy shop. If I will find that yarn again, I will reactivate the listing.

You could have a link to your PINTEREST account. I often post an item for sale up on Pinterest, then when it sells I just comment SOLD!
