My views and hearts have skyrocketed but my sales just DIED.... I mean just stopped in their tracks....

Think back to what you are doing differently as a seller. More or less blogging/promoting/facebooking/etc? Anything different in your way of handling things?

yeah I'm improving my tags and listings, so I have alot more views. And nothing more or less as far as promoting goes, other than posting the 3 new designs I made on my facebook and twittering them... haven't blogged them yet.

Ah, I'm not sure, but I listed an item this morning and it has only 1 view today??? And I did not have one sale in August at all! Yikes! I feel like I have been advertising and promoting overtime! Good luck!

I also feel like my shop has its ups and downs, which I can't explain since I'm doing everything the same! For example, one day I'll have a lot of views, but very few favorites, and vice versa. The last couple of days, views have really dropped, though I've added new items.

Possible explanations can be that Etsy's traffic varies significantly from day to day. Also, maybe many of your views come from the same viewers? Like, sometimes I'll find a shop I like and click like 30 of their items! I'm sure they wonder why they got 30 extra views but no sales!

It can be frustrating, but sales come when I least expect them.

I agree with you all, but someimes I feel like banging my head! Seems like I have lots less views from google now and that is what the data shows too.

Just need to vent!

agreed! my views have gone up since the relevancy changed, but I still hear crickets in sales. sigh! I feel like I've been working overtime trying to make things, list them, edit old listings, etc.

Let's hope all of our hard work pays off

I have views, favorites and am being found but my sales haven't changed. I am assuming it is because it is August and this is a tough time for shops traditionally as far as sales go.

I am hoping that these views translate into sales further on down the road, though!

I have my theory... the end of August, the end of summer, people are done spending money on vacation and all that jazz, refocusing on "back to school" matters, but that doesn't stop them from window shopping. What they see right now can give them good idea what to get when it gets into the holiday seasons. Not that I have a lot of sales (very little!) but it's a good time to revise my listings (especially with the recent change on etsy search), then when the holiday shopping season comes, it may just pay off.

Most I have 1 view too, when I list a new item or relist something) its not funny at all..

I'm thinking it's a back to school slump - everyone is concentrating on new shoes, new books, backpacks etc I am getting lots more views and hearts so maybe we're window shopping a little before the season starts :)

Just joined. :) My views are way down and my sales are basically gone in August--3 sales all month which is really low for me this year!!??? I don't know what to do except keep sewing for the holidays. (Yes, I did already change my tags and titles) Help?

My views are still pretty low, even though I don't really know what is considered a high volume or low volume view-day.
My shop has been open for almost a month and I've only gotten 3 sales thus far... Is this bad?

I used to know the right times for my shop to list to get the maximum views, but lately that doesn't seem to pertain. No matter what time I list, I get almost no views and it takes days to get even 1.

I'm to opposite, almost. My views and hearts are WAY DOWN, but my sales have slowly been trickling in. I'm changing all my titles and tags, but my likes and view just wont' come back up?
