showcase on etsy

So tomorrow if my first day ever using etsy showcase.
First off where on the etsy homepage is there the showcase spot?
Also Is it only for an hour for a whole day...
And did it bring you guys a ton of sales?!
Any input would be great thanks!

Hi Lyndsey,

I have used the Showcase about 4 times now. It's for 24 hours. I usually change the picture that shows every 4 or 5 hours, unless it sells! I use housewares, so check the section that you are in and you'll see your item. I have always gotten alot of views and favorites. One time I sold 12 items!. I think it's worth the seven bucks. Some shops don't use it at all. Good luck and have fun!

lyndsey, your showcase will run along the top page of your category, while yours may not be in the first 4 at the top you can arrow over to see all the items showcased that day.
i would guess depending on the category some showcases could be more beneficial than others.

omg awesome thats really awesome for you. I mean my prices are CHEAP right now because i'm moving so I'm hoping to move alot of items!
And thanks for the input I'm going to see how it helps tomorrow and hopefully I spend the entire day shipping items lol( keeping my fingers crossed)

Anyone have any experience with vintage clothing? Is that a good category to showcase your items in?

I tried a showcase when I first opened, although I read a lot of negative threads about them. I think as a seller you need to try things for yourself and see what works for you. It didn't bring in any sales for me, but did increase views and got some hearts and shop favorites -which is always good when you are starting out. I don't think I would try it again. I've seen results with search ads and would probably invest in that instead.

Good luck! Also, the spot in the showcase changes every couple hours, so at some point you will be in top four just so you know. I would also recommend keeping an eye on your stats -if the featured item isn't getting the views you want, try another one and see what is most popular.
