I think that if someone picked my shop out of the thousands in Etsy, and purchased something and paid for it promptly (as the majority of my buyers do), then as my part in the deal I not only owe them their merchandise, but I owe them prompt shipping as well. That is part of my customer service. I always ship the next business day, including Saturday. But that's strictly my choice, and it may be different for someone who has a lot more sales than I do. I would like to think that if I am ever fortunate enough to have a lot of sales, I would still feel the same obligation. But everyone is different and what works for me may not work for someone else.
