rearranging frustration

I had arranged my items by type, then realized anyone looking would see only hats, or only bags, and might not get beyond the first page. Then I tried rearranging by color, and it doesn't look organized....anyone have a suggestion or 2 or 3 I could try??

Re: rearranging frustration

I like to put a sample of each type item I have on the first page. Best sellers. Then I try to arrange a little to mix up the color, so they're not all one color together..........just me, I guess. I like to feel good about the first page arrangement.

Re: rearranging frustration

I like seeing a little bit of everything that a shop sells on the first page. I think that you should try to have at least one item from each section on your first page. Organizing by colors can be nice, but if you do it, try to make sure that it's one line of each color on the first page, because otherwise it can seem like all of your items are in one or two color families.

Re: rearranging frustration

We arrange by rows. A row of hot pads, then a row of pot holders, etc. I moved most of the scarves to the back pages until the Holiday season. Works for us.

Re: rearranging frustration

Thanks! I think I will try to add new items in groups of 4, too, then I won't have to rearrange as often :)
