positive reviews

Hi there
Just wondering what everyone does when you receive a positive review from a buyer. Do you contact that person and say thank you? Offer a discount?

Normally I don't, unless it's someone I know personally, or if it's another seller I've got to know through Teams or another way.

I offer all buyers a coupon code for their next purchase as they make one (you can set that up under "Coupon Codes".

I don't mainly because I already said thank you in the message to buyer which includes a coupon code.

Unless I was actively still talking with them, I would mention it. But if I have no contact with the buyer and the transaction is done, I wouldn't do anything but leave them positive feedback in return.

There is no need for that.
I assume you already thanked them for their purchase.
No need to thank them for loving your product. That is why they bought it. And the review is mainly there for future customers to see.


PS: Diana, we cannot leave them 'positve feedback in return'. Buyer feedback has been discontinued last year.

I don't contact them at all. Quite a few of my sales are custom orders so after all the emails back and forth and the 'thank you's' I think it's too much. I know what you mean, though, you feel a bit rude if you don't say anything but you aren't.

I have a few times, and I always want to, but I don't anymore unless we're still emailing each other and then I thank them for sure. I decided not to otherwise because I don't want them to think I'm bothering them and I don't want them to feel like they have to respond to my thank you. I got a generic "thank you for leaving feedback" coupon once or twice, but I've never had a seller send me a personal thank you email for leaving feedback.

Ditto on offering a coupon code for future purchase. You want to keep them coming back. Too much thanking and pleasantries could be overkill and turn alot of people off.

I do absolutely nothing but smile because they took the time to leave a review.

If you want to offer a coupon code to customers after a purchase you can set it up so that they get sent out automatically.

If they purchase from me again, then I may mention it but most often I don't.

Thank you. I took a year off and just opened back up. I noticed I couldn't find anywhere to add feedback for my buyers. I was wondering. :)
