low views

I have re worded my tags and titles in almost all of my listings (to match each other).
But my views are still low, like 100-150 a day, although I have over 170 listings.

Is it just that the market is saturated, or am I still not finding the right key words?
Even when I search on google shopping I'm really low in the results.
Most of my views come from the "party favor" searchings.

Any ideas?

Re: low views

Those are not low views on Etsy!
(Your sales are not low at all either. Just to put things into perspective.)
And yes, you are operating in a crowded market.
But you don't want to rely on keywords alone.
What are you doing to market your products outside of Etsy?
Do you have a marketing plan? Could it be time to update it?

Re: low views

Hmmm....

When I look at the first page of your shop, without reading any titles, the first words that pop into my head are "crayon roll."

However... (I'll use this item as an example)...

Your title says "crayon holder roll" which will put you farther back in search results when someone types in "crayon roll." Your description starts with the words "crayon roll" but that phrase is not in your tags at all and it it doesn't match your title. I see crayon caddy, crayon wrap and even stocking stuffer in your tags (which is a wasted tag right now). I also notice you have "crayon holder" twice in your title (at the beginning and again midway through). I didn't look at any other listings to see how the titles, descriptions and tags work together. I just know that if I searched for a crayon roll this particular item most likely will not come up very high in search results.

Re: low views

ditto judy

you arent matching keywords in title into tags very well.

https://www.etsy.com/listing/179307075/crayon-book-bag-bicycle-road-trip-bag?ref=shop_home_active_4

crayon book bag- not in one tag
bicycle-this is not a bicycle
road trip bag-not in a tag
crayon roll up-not anywhere
kids tote bag- not in one tag
childs coloring bag-not in one tag
colouring bag- search reads that as coloring bag. no need for it twice
travel organizer- not in one tag
crayon bag- yay!! its part of another tag, so you are relevant!!

search are ranked by those items with that term exactly in the title and in one tag being shown first.

if you are in a big category, you wont be found if you dont do that.

simple as that

Re: low views

@Judy
But that listing is in the top ranking of the search "crayon holder" which is why I put on some of my listings holder, organizer, wallet before the word roll at the beginning to try to see if it helped the search results. And yes, this is one of the ones that I hadn't reworded the title and tags on.

Re: low views

You might try rewording some of your titles (and tags) to have "party favor" at the beginning since that is what is bringing in your views.

Re: low views

lol. I opened this because my views have tanks recently too. But I consider 30-40 a good day. I've been averaging 10 the past few days.

No advice from me but the 'Easter basket' tag on this one gave me a great idea for Abby's Easter basket. That is such a perfect addition to an Easter basket!

Re: low views

I have more listings than that, and average 100-150 views/day. I am more interested in sales though - if you are happy with your sales, you're on the right track. I'd rather have 100 views and plenty of sales rather than 500 views and no sales. Fewer views with more sales means that you are targeting your market appropriately and are successful in converting views to sales.

Re: low views

You're right Erica, I suppose I got caught up in the views for a bit.

Also, @BeaG, I am in between marketing off etsy at the moment, I am rethinking how to get better sales than views and where to advertise.
