how would you celebrate?

I hit sale # 82 today, so I'm thinking with the holidays approaching, I will hopefully hit #100 soon.

What would you do to celebrate sale #100, if anything?

A sale?

A prize for the 100th customer?

Re: how would you celebrate?

I didn't give them a prize as I feel it's kind of pot luck as to who will be the 100th, and to them it's nothing special... but I did include a thank you note for being the 100th..

Congrats!!! I didn't do anything for the 100th sale, but on my year anniversary, I offered a big discount for that day only..I was so happy and wanted to share with my customers :-)

Re: how would you celebrate?

I feel the no. of orders matters to us as a seller. I celebrate by giving something special to people who have helped me in completing the orders. :) eg. the Post office guys etc.

Re: how would you celebrate?

I say get yourself a pedicure! That's the ideal thing to celebrate everything! :)

Re: how would you celebrate?

For my 100th sale I gave that buyer a discount off her order. She was quite surprised!

Re: how would you celebrate?

Yes, I say celebrate for yourself! Go out for dinner or dessert, or crack open a bottle of bubbly and pat yourself on the back! Congrats, you're getting close!

Re: how would you celebrate?

I celebrate those type of milestone by investing in my own sanity. A bottle of vino, dinner out with the hubby, love the idea of a pedicure.

I'll probably hit 1500 this month, so I'm going to invest back into my business with a more industrial grade sewing machine.

All my customers get a nice thank you note, tissue and ribbon wrapped package and a 10% off coupon code- every sale is an important one.

Re: how would you celebrate?

I say spoil yourself first, and the customer second! I am a very giving person and it always comes back to you if it comes from the heart! I am super close to the 100 mark myself, (I'm at #97!!) and I am itching to get there. My plan is to buy some of that sweet vino (great minds think alike!!!!) and give a fabulous matching gift to the person that helps me reach that goal! I love the idea of giving something to the postal workers. I am blank of what to give....anybody done that?? If so what did you give?

Re: how would you celebrate?

I like the idea of giving a gift to the Post office employees, too. All the ones in my town are so great & patient with me. Especially at first, when I had a million questions!! I'm thinking maybe bake a batch of cookies or gift cards to the coffee place.

Like the pedicure idea, too.

I always give a coupon and a sample with every sale, anyway, so maybe I'll treat my self!

Oh, and can't forget my extremely patient husband!! Maybe the wine for him! Lol. Between 2 Etsy shops, I have taken over every room in the house. He is contemplating building a cabin in the back yard to actually have a place for himself!

Re: how would you celebrate?

I just recently had mine and it was a wallet so I gave her a free matching coin pouch. I never heard anything back from her....

Re: how would you celebrate?

I have often heard from people on this team, not hearing back must mean they are happy. I sense you would have rather heard from them, I can relate with that. Either way...I think you did the right thing!! That's how I work and I have had no complaints :)

Re: how would you celebrate?

Depending on the purchase at 100 sales, could it be 'on the house', then blog about it (Facebook, blog, etc) thanking all to have contributed to your success and sharing excitement about what the next 100? I wouldn't, however, share details about the sale itself.

Here's what I did at 500 (over the moon, of course!):
http://customaed.com/products-page/celebrating-500-sales/

lol, I guess I offered a discount for the month, too. But, that is not as memorable to me (obviously!) as the memory of how excited my 500th customer was to receive her order FOC.

And, congratulations!

Re: how would you celebrate?

I recently reached the 100 sales mark, and that's why I'm running a sale right now through the end of September - to celebrate! I'm offering 10% off!

I do like the idea of offering a free item to the 500th customer - but for me that's a while away. When I'm testing out a new product, sometimes I will throw it in with someone's order to see what the response to the new product is. But that's only if I'm going to be selling multiples of it, and it doesn't cost me an extreme amount in time/materials.

I'm sure you'll hit the 100 mark soon - fun!!!! :-)

Re: how would you celebrate?

I don't give 'prizes' to customers simply for purchasing from me.

When I reached my 1000th sale I took my partner out for a wonderful dinner.

Re: how would you celebrate?

I would have a small coupon running for a week or so to celebrate. Then it's back to work! :D
