how long do you have to wait for buyer to leave feedback for the items you sold

and do you leave feed back for the sold items you sold or do you wait until the buyer does.

I always leave feedback for buyers, usually after they pay. But I've heard that's not the best idea sometimes..

I love it when the buyers leave me feedback right away, but that's kind of rare. Most don't leave feed back and others leave it weeks later.

My buyers, so far, rarely leave feedback right away (if at all). In many cases, they have been new to Etsy and don't really know how feedback works. I still leave feedback for my buyers. I do it about 3 days after I ship an item, so that they have more of a possibility of seeing it and reciprocating.

Only about half of my buyers have left feedback. It's not mandatory, so there's not much you can do about it. Over time enough will leave it so you'll feel like you have a substantial showing.

I don't leave feedback until the buyer does and I know everything got to them and they're happy. If I don't hear from them in a month, I leave a simple thank you with a positive.

I do not worry too much about feedback. Having a satisfied customer is the important thing. Keeping the lines of communication open and leaving positive feedback for a reliable customer is important. If the payment was prompt and the communication was positive then I would leave feedback and then go on to my next project without waiting for feedback for the sold item.

Not everybody remembers or bothers to leave feedback. I have only received feedback from about 1/3 of my sales. A lot of my buyers are on there for the first time and either don't know about feedback or don't bother with it.

I used to leave feedback almost immediately after I've shipped the order, but now I wait a bit to make sure items have been received and everything is OK. Generally, if I don't hear back from the buyer in 2 weeks or so (for domestic), I leave them a positive feedback with a "thank you", but I always leave feedback. Not all buyers will leave feedback, but I always leave feedback because that's what I would want. =D

Have yet to get any feedback. I've left feedback for all of my clients and have event sent them e-mails asking how they like what they have AND "don't forget the leave me a feedback"... nada so far.

I leave feedback after I ship. I feel like they did thier part and paid on time and that warrents a positive feedback. If they don't like or have a problem they will convo me and I fix it. I don't get feedback from everyone but I so enjoy reading the great ones!
