hello! i have been stumped by this since i joined etsy-

how do some people get like 300 page views within the first day of listing the item? is it good tagging? advertising? no matter how much i shake things up, i can never get more than 80-100 page views!

When you see that many page views it is an item that was renewed, rather than a new listing.

Don't despair! Like Delicate says, these are renewals. Some of these pieces have been renewed several times and the page views have accumulated.

GracieBeal ... you say you get between 80-100 views? I'm so confused ... I just listed four new items and I didn't receive more than 6 views?!?! WHY? WHY? WHY? What am I doing wrong?

Gracie... I renew items that there are more of more often. For instance, there are A LOT of milkglass listings. If I don't relist them often, they get lost in the shuffle. I don't sell jewelry, but I have heard that it's pretty much mandatory to relist because Etsy is so saturated with jewelry. Good luck with your shop!

I agree with quirkyessentials - I renew my items that completely get lost in the hundreds of others like it posted each day. I renew a couple things in the morning, maybe one mid-day and a couple at night.
