how do I know my item was on the homepage??

Under shop stats, I noticed I was getting more than usual views after I put this one nice piece up. Under shop stats it said it brought 8 people to my page and listed the source as the Etsy Home page. Does that mean my piece was on the front page of Etsy??! If so, how do I know if they have or will feature my pieces on the home page??

Rbutler you can go to this site
http://www.craftcult.com/heartomatic.php
and type in your shop name; then go to the tab "featured" and it will tell you if you were on the front page or were in Etsy Finds, etc. Pretty handy.
You may also be in the taste test and your item may have shown up on the front page for different people.

Thanks nansglam, I checked but it seems it only says if you've had an item on the front page within 24 hours. Is there any other way to tell?

if it was on the homepage it would be more than 8. it would be more like 800 people :)

So, I found out how to search beyond 24 hours. You just click on the vault link at the top. I just want to know what it means when they say I got traffic from the homepage. Could that just be people typing my username and getting my shop?

It was probably seen under "Recently listed."

I use Statsy.org and that site will email you if you get on the front page. (not that I can vouch for that since I've not been on the FP!). :0)

Thanks for the info, guys. This helps a lot. I never knew my ratio of hearts to buyers was 2:1. Is that good?
