generating sales and repeat traffic

Hello all, I'd like information on generating sales and getting repeat traffic. My sales are really slow and it gets a bit discouraging. Can anyone really make a living off etsy sales?

I am not sure what the magic answer is, but I can say that I have done really well my first year on Etsy. I spend a lot of time treasure hunting and listing. This month has been one of my best with 39 sales already. I think that adding new items is the key to keeping interest in your shop.

What is treasure hunting? By listing, do you mean listing new items every day? How many items do you list each day and how many do you keep in your shop at any given time? Thanks so much for the feedback.

...I spend a lot of time looking for new product to buy (or treasure hunting:). I list as I buy and have over 600 items in my Etsy shop. I probably list around 4 items a day in the summer. Less in the winter:)
