Wikipedia in stats

A couple of days ago my shop was found through wikipedia, but when I type my shops name into their search engine, nothing comes up. Any ideas how this happened?

I think I had that once too and wondered how it happened, because wikipedia doesn't run ads on their site...

very weird… I get stuff all the time that I can't figure out how my shop could be associated with it.

For example: two hits today from a company that sells social media tools… I don't get it.

I never had Wikipedia in my stats but yesterday i had traffic from some i think chinese sites. Never heard of them but hey, traffic is traffic!

It's probably the last cookie the person had before visiting your shop. Not necessarily the referrer to your shop. :) They've made me wonder a few times too.
