Why you are not getting found newbies

Things are tough when your category has 2,000,000 items, and you have 40.
You must do everything possible to give yourself a chance to be found. I dont see that in threads compalining about low views.
And, it isnt that hard, nor does it take much time to have good tags and titles. Ignore all that constant "tweaking" noise you read about. Do it right the first time, and you can spend the tweaking time making things.

I have learned the following from the Queen of SEO:

1.Your title is not the name of your item. It is a 70 character string whose goal is to get your item found by etsy search.

2. If you cant tell exactly what the item is by reading your tags, your tags stink. Those words are what people search on. If I had a dime for every purple necklace that had neither purple nor necklace in the tags, I would have a lot of dimes.

3. Words in your title must show up in your tags. If Blue scarf is in your title, blue scarf needs to be in your tags.

4. Use as many of the 20 characters in your tags as possible. Blue scarf as one tag is better than blue, then scarf as two tags.

Can you (or someone) answer this question for me about tags - if I put, for example, "red blue pink" in one tag, rather than each of them a separate tag, is that better? Am I just as likely to get found if someone searches just one of the colors? (Still learning!)

Oh Help, I'm just lost. People that see my work gush over it. I think I am in a hard spot. My work is totally unique, high quality and time consuming. I try to keep my prices low. But they are way higher than others that are selling butterfly work. I can't lower my price or it would cost me to make them. Do I raise prices to put it in a different bracket? I know I have a good product am I just not getting seen? Am I listing poorly. I'm ready to cry.

put it in search and see what pops up
no onw knows the answers to those types of questions unless they run the test.
So... dont believe everything you read.

have you tried that?
alex is pretty sure if you began your title with that, that you will be first page

you do have some competition, surprisingly
why are you better?

17% of all butterfly jewelry sold on etsy is over $50
so, there is a market for your price
20% of butterfly pendants go for over $32

your shop is fine

fine tune your tags and titles to get into less competitive keyword searches

If you choose to get around the wall, there is a mountain and a river to get by later on.

I ship from Hungary, just Airmail. Some countries you have to pay more, some less. I wouldn't take $8 loss on a $19 pendant... Adding tracking number would be $4, insurance $1.60 per $20 worth, I saved a lot of money by not paying those...

When listing a piece in Categories I end at "Jewelry" the next category has nothing for me. I wish they would put "Butterflies" in the last column where they are looking for material because I use polymer clay but it's not a polymer clay piece. I use resin but it's not a resin piece. I use beads but it's not a beaded piece. Should I just use the poly, resin and beads alternatively just to pop up somewhere?

But now categories are out and I'm reading that we have to start listing different to get found now. The search is more like Pinterest. I don't seem to fit in anywhere there either. So sad. What to do?

if you have those three words in your title in that order, and butterfly jewelry art in your tags, then you would be very relevant for:
butterfly, art, jewelry, butterfly art, art jewelry
5 tags in one
if you do that for all 13 tags, you will have 65 tags
I may have said to use multi word tags a time or a thousand. That is why.
