Why do some listings show before others?

I sell nursing covers (all of which are listed with the same tags and titles) and one of my items is on the first page and one is on the second when you search "nursing cover". The other listings don't show up until page 10 or after. Any ideas of how I can get those listings showing up sooner in a search? Thanks!

hi Amelia,
I looked at your sales, and you have sold a couple of those, but others as well. Have you checked your stats in the last year to see if that gets more views and favorites?
I just passed this on to a friend earlier tonight. Maybe it will help, particularly the part "Factorsin Etsy's search Placement." It changed the way I was using, and reusing, old listings.

Thanks Cindy, I'll definitely check that out! I've only had my shop up and running for about 2 and 1/2 months, but it definitely seems that the listing on the first page gets many more favorites (and views) than the others.
