Why are my most recent listings not showing up in search?

I thought the key to etsy success was to list frequently or renew, above almost all other techniques?
Lately I have noticed that my recent listings do not show up using a search of their item description. ie: "baby memory book"
Sometimes I see one of my much older listings come up though, but in going back 10 pages, I can't find the new listings anywhere. Apparently shoppers can't find them either, because they have been listed for 2 or 3 days, and some have no views.
Maybe this is a question for Etsy support?

Etsy search switched from recency to relevancy (ie, what you called it, what your tags say, how you describe it actually match what was searched) well over a year ago.

If you've been relisting daily for the last year, I'm sorry you wasted your money.

Alright, relisting does *something* but not much. Recency is one of the many factors in relevancy, and given how much everything else matters...I doubt it's a big one.

Categories, if you can find them, are still recency sorted, but even when they were visible on the frontpage, they weren't used much.

Thanks, that helps, I haven't been listing every day so I don't feel jipped. But that makes me question why my stuff isn't showing up even more. If I search for "Baby Memory Book Girl" why am I not seeing my items?

I typed "baby memory book" into the Etsy search bar and one of your items came up on the first page, 4th row down. I also typed "birthday interview book" and your item came up as the 1st search result.

I think your own items are less likely to come up in your own searches because they are less relevant... which actually makes sense. It's good to get someone else to check for you !
