Where the heck is this???

I just received a new order and the address says 09075 APO, AE for the city and state.... but it says United States. I have contacted the buyer but am still waiting to hear back. I've never seen something like this, and my Google research keeps saying it means it is a US military base in some other country.... even though this says United States on the shipping address, do I need customs form? Also, they only paid for shipping in the US. Anyone?

APO - I think it is a military address. APO- AP

AA, which stands for Armed Forces (the) Americas
AE, which stands for Armed Forces Europe
AP, which stands for Armed Forces Pacific

Two "City" equivalents:

APO, which stands for Army Post Office
FPO, which stands for Fleet Post Office

The US Post office delivers to the military instillation here in the USA and from there it goes through military post office which is different. But you pay USA postal priced (Not international shipping) so if the base is in Europe or Afghanistan (for example) you pay US postal prices. At least that is how I believe it works.

Sarah is correct... and to answer your other question, yes, you will need to fill out a customs form.

Thank you for the info! I just don't know if I need to do a customs form. I guess I could always just go to my PO and ask instead. I've been shipping from home, but didn't know how to do this one. :P

That's fine. Send it to the address, and do use a customs form. It will take longer to reach them than it would if it were a home address, because it's sent to the military who then pass it on. It's great in a way because it keeps postage costs down.

oh I had one of those before - it totally confused me! it was for someone in South Korea but serving in the US military
