When is it Antique?

Hi all! I'm a budding jewelry sales..person...thingie...and I was wondering when it's okay to call something antique? I'm coming up with the title for my first item, and I feel like the best way to describe it is "Antique Rose Necklace", however the roses themselves aren't actually antique, just made to look that way. Is it alright to call something "Antique" when it's not technically an antique?

"Antique" is 100 years or more. "Antiqued" can be any age. :-)

Try vintage or vintage style or antique style

Be sure to not use "vintage" as a tag or title for your necklace unless it is at least 20 years old.

Tanya is quite right, antique is generally considered 75 to 100 years old.

Vintage is a term that is more loosely used and depends on what you are selling or buying.
An antique collector is looking specifically for something that is of age, 75 + years old only.
Vintage involves more categories of explanation depending on the subject, wine, clothing, jewelry, etc, involves, age, style, rarity, design, and even swings in the collector market.
Only on Etsy is 20 years considered vintage.
