Etsy traffic and views

Hi! I am a new Etsy seller and in the process of trying to stock my shop. I notice on the days when I post several items I get alot of views to my shop and items. I have been experimenting this week with not posting items a few days and trying the Etsy promotion where you set a budget and pay per click and on those same days I promote on Instagram as well. I don't have half the traffic on those days as I do when I am posting several items. Is this normal? Just wondering if that is the best way to promote my shop? Any tips and help are greatly appreciated!

I never use Etsy promotions. I never saw any increase revenue or views from that.

I do get more views when I put up new items.

I also get a lot of views when I do promote on social media, but all depends what I do with promoting. If I put stuff on twitter/fb with great hashtags, than I'll get a bump in views (I get a lot more views if I post on my own fb vs my buisness account). I don't get that many from instagram yet. Have you tried pintrest? I get daily views from there.

Also, search through this team for marketing ideas. There were a number of threads started about marketing. I'm sure they'll have a wealth of knowledge
for ya. :)

Putting up items every day defiantly helps.
Some tips for getting views:
- Make sure the first 1 sentence in each product description is different so that the search engine doesn't think that all the products are the same
- Put Use all five pictures and put different angles on the first one to add some variation
- Do more stuff on your shop when people will be more likely to look on your shop, like snow days and weekends.

I've tried Etsy promotions a few times and didn't see any increase in sales or views. When I list new items, am more active on pinterest and etsy teams I see more views and typically see a few new sales follow. Btw, ChicBurlapDesigns, very cute shop!
