Whats wrong with this listing?

With the recent summer jewelry trends I was ecstatic to see friendship bracelets are making a comeback! I could hardly wait to put this piece out of my head and into a wearable piece(as this type of work is my niche). I feel the views are a lot lower than other items in my shop and I can't figure out why. Is it the picture? The price? The title?I want Etsy to be as in love with bracelet as I am. Did I just miss the taste mark? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Wow -- your work is really intricate!

The bracelet is on the higher end, price-wise, in your shop. I know it must have taken a while beading it by hand, but it seems a bit expensive for copper jewelry.

I'm not going to claim to be your ideal customer as I don't wear or buy lots of jewelry, but I think the title could use a little massaging as well. Something like "Friendship Bracelet description description" would let your target audience know immediately what it is.

Best of luck!

Re: Whats wrong with this listing?

Not sure why you got lower views for that one. It could be as simple as they can clearly see what the item is without having to click into it. There are times that I click into a listing because I can't make out what the item is. Usually it ends up being something I'm not interested in. Item views don't necessarily mean that it's a popular item. So I wouldn't worry. I think your bracelet is pretty.

Re: Whats wrong with this listing?

Thanks for the feedback, I'll modify the price and I guess just keep the same picture since it's pretty self explanatory as to what the item is.

Re: Whats wrong with this listing?

You're photos, except for the one with the hand, are a bit blurry. It makes it difficult to see all that detail, which is where the customer decides that the price is worth it. And you can't see the clasp in any of the photos.

Perhaps beef up your description. There are some misspellings and a few oddly punctuated sentences. And you could use more excitement. Tell your customer why they'd want to wear the bracelet. Grab their attention by describing the sensations they'll feel when they touch it, see it, wear it. A good description can really make the jump from "that's pretty" and hit the x button.... to an actual purchase.

Good luck!

Re: Whats wrong with this listing?

Also, on a more contentious point, the price is a little weird. It's not that it's too high or low necessarily.... it's more that it's so strange. No one says they have $63.95 to spend on a present for their friend. Very few even say they have $65. But it's a lot easier for a person to process a dollar amount if it's more rounded. $64.95 works because everyone knows it's a subconscious trick to keep it under $65. But I really prefer, as a buyer, when things are in round dollars. I'd rather see $65 than $63.95. Because $65 tells me exactly where I'm at and communicates clearly. But $63.95 says slightly unprofessional pricing strategy to trick me into purchasing and it takes my brain a second to register exactly how much that is. Subconsciously, I feel like your item must be lower quality.

I would buy something at $60 or $65 without as much thought and analysis.

But I'm sure there will be people arguing with me! This is definitely an argument not everyone will agree with!

Re: Whats wrong with this listing?

@rameottone - very helpful comment. I agree that rounding the price up or down is better from a psychological point of view. I've found that people don't want to spend the time to do math when calculating the price of the item and adding shipping costs. It's easier to have an item cost, say $20 and $5 shipping.
