Hmm..interesting. So do the words in the titles count as tags? I'll try changing my titles and see if it helps. Is there anything else I should be doing?
I have been adding ppl to my circle, making treasuries, telling friends, giving out business cards with my etsy shop on it, etc, but it just doesn't seem to be giving me much traffic :( Even getting 50 views a day would be great!
PaulnSherylArt- It's fun isn't it?? I love checking out my stats. I can always tell it is time to relist some items when my numbers go down and then it is fun to watch them go up that very hour!! Have fun:)
I LOVE your picture necklaces and rings! I even favorited a couple things:)
The trouble I see for you is that your titles of your items need to be reworded if you are going to be found easily on a search.
For example: fine art photo should be at the beginning of your item name and not at the end. It is always best to have your first 3 words the most likely to be typed into a search. Necklace and ring should also come first and then the description. Your work is very nice and so I don't feel it is your product that causes you fewer views, I believe people are just not finding your shop. It is so unfortunate, fabulous shops can get buried simply because they are not "relevant" in thier descriptions. Good luck! Hope this helps.
Wow, so impressed by you all. I started in July but only have around 30 views a day! Any thoughts?? I thought my titles were appropriate for search relevancy but maybe not?
sherischart- You should not be depressed :) Views are great but at the end of the day SALES are even better and I think 6 sales in the short amount of time that you have been on Etsy is something to be very proud of!!!
Yes @AddieGertrude I agree completely. Views are good for exposure but I try and judge my overall performance on <3's and sales. You might be seen easily but the hearts are telling you they like what they see.
My shop's been open since April but has only really started picking up in the last two months so I can't do any meaningful comparisons. I've averaged 50 views a day in those last two months and 5 hearts a day, so I'm converting 10% views into interest. I still work a day job, so it's early days yet ;).
The other useful thing about the shop stats are the keywords. What are people typing to find you, match your tags and start your shop titles with those phrases. You can gauge if it's working by looking at the 'traffic sources on etsy' and see where search appears on the list.
Don't be disheartened, it's just getting to know the mechanics of Etsy!
I average about 30-40 views a day. It's seems to me, this is too little. Whats wrong with my shop? The titles? The tags? Or is not enough items? Please, help me somebody.
i started in June and have now around 100 - 180 , i dont know if that is good or bad, not getting any sales recently :C but i will keep going and try to improve :D
Well thats depressing, I average between 30 and 50 listing views a day, and I have over 100 items in my shop and I have done loads of work on my tags and titles on at least half my items and still going... I have FB and Twitter and a blog. I must be doing something wrong, or my stuff is just unappealing!
Well then... I average about 100 listing views per day and 30-50 shop views. There were 150 listing views today though, weird.. maybe because I got featured in a couple of treasuries today :D
It depends on how much I promote, treasuries I am in, etc., But it is usually about 60-80 a day. Last week when I was featured as shop of the day, it was almost 600! But, that was a first. But, sad to say, it didn't bring in any sales! But like one of the sellers posted, I too, only have 52 items. I am trying to reach that magic 100 number, but I really can't crank out my hand painted items. Sure wish I could;0)
It's nice to see how many views other shops are getting as kind of a comparison point, but don't get discouraged if you don't have as many as others! There are a LOT of variables at work! And shops that don't have as many views can be getting more sales than those with more views, it depends on so many things!
Have said that, in the past month I average just over 200 views a day, and I've been open for a year and a couple months. The longer you are here and the more items you have, the more views you will get. Most of my views are from within etsy, but I also get views from my blog, facebook, twitter, google, etc. The more effort I put out the more views I get. I need to do some more blogging, I've been really slow about that lately, it'll be interesting to see if my views go up once I do more blogging!
Oh, and yes, it depends on what type of views you are looking at! If looking at combined views I have an average of 215 a day over the past month. If just shop views then it's just 50 a day average over the past month.
I average about 80 to 100 per day. I've been open since June (saved my shop name since April). I've tried very hard to make my titles and tags relevant; even before etsy switched to relevancy. If anyone has any further tips to increase views, I'm all ears.
It is going up - slowly but steadily. right now it is averaging 60 unique viewers by GA with some 200-300 pageviews there, or 130 views according ShopStats. I still don't understand how all this data suits together. I've started an ad campaign in September, it gave an immediate impact on views and, more important, sales, I am very pleased. But this one is my third attempt to advertise - first two were total fail. I am here from February.
The last 2 sales I had in August were on my lowest view days. I had under 30 views those days. I love the shop stats feature, but keep reminding myself that it is the "right" view that makes the sale. I average around 60 views a day, and usually see an increase when I list new items.
