What would you call what I'm doing?

Hey Team!
Every time someone asks me what I am selling, I try to describe it to them but so far I haven't come up with an elegant description.

So I thought maybe I can pick your creative brains! :)
I fold ribbon and pin it onto rings, balls, etc. Unfortunately that does not sound pretty...

I'll be happy about any suggestions! :)

That's good! I used ribbon art before but it seems that that doesn't quite ring bells... I like ribbon sculptures! :)

Very Cool Stuff! How about German Ribbon Craft, German Ribbon Art, Ribbon Weaving, German Ribbon Weaving, Decorative Ribbon Weaving, Decorative Craft Weaving, Ribbon Craft, Ribbon Art... These would sell crazy in Christmas shops, gift shops etc.... German Folk Art, German Folk Christmas Decorations, I can't recall seeing objects made this way before...The European aspect will always sell well as a marketing angle. If you had the ability to scale up I bet regular retail would be interested in some of these if approached the right way. Contact Martha Stewart for a how to do it demo on her show.....

I really like 'Ribbon Sculptures' and it would probably call attention to your work. At the same time, it would be a bit misleading. A piece of sculpture does not satisfy any other purpose than the artistic one and your items are nearer the 'crafty' side of creativity. I don't mean this in a belittling way at all!

Your work is beautiful and very creative so I thought, what if you called it 'Creative Ribbons'? Calling your material creative is like giving it a life of its own and it may pleasingly surprise the reader. Just an idea :)

Because sculpture implies a conceptual element (equal or > the process) and your work is more process oriented right?

Wow! I appreciate all the feedback! I really have to work on my marketing strategy... I think I am going to put more emphasis on this craft being European and even though I like the term sculpture, I see how it is misleading...

Well you have 6 sales so you seedling something right, my fav book right now small business for dummies. They show you how to do a business plan so that you can really think deep about why you started selling and that will help you elegantly and briefly describe what you do.

I make handmade high quality luxury products for fine living. It's short to the point fits me and my products but also gives me room to grow.

I would try to incorporate the fact that this is a German technique. People love foreign techniques and art stuff. What you need is a good, short, catchy slogan for your banner that explains exactly what your shop is. Ribbon Art. Ribbon Driven. Ribbon Women. Artiste De Ribbon! Ribbon folding. Ribbons, ribbons, ribbons! Ribbons Zierband. I could go on for hours...
