What music do you listen to while you make?

Hi there!

When I’m creating, I need to listen to something that will motivate me to keep going. Whether I’m knitting, cross-stitching or baking, I’m always playing records to get myself in the right frame of mind.

Do you listen to music while you make? If so, what kind do you choose? Why do you listen to the songs or artists that you do? Do they amp you up and get you excited to take on the day? Do they drive you to create more? Do you prefer music that calms you when things are stressful? Does it help keep you focused? Do you listen to music that will entertain you when work feels monotonous? Do you like something with a good beat to dance to when you need a little break?

I like eclectic music styles, I am very hard to appreciate some . Classic one especially Chopin, Mozart or Bach.
Modern styles like electro house and louge, jazz, most of my favrites are live music, handpan music, and of course the ROCK.

Well now, since my tiny shop is full of noise, all I can listen to is my Router High Pitch Squeel, or The Air Compressor Kicking in, or in my other shop it is my Table Saw Spinning a Ripping Away!

Most times I can never hear myself think, let alone to enjoy the ambience of silence!

Oh well. Nice question though! I do enjoy Tunes of the 60's, 70's & 80's Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, CCR to name just a few. I also enjoy Classical & Brian Eno's Ambience as well! What the heck... I'll even toss in those CD's of Waterfalls, Wildlife & Forest background sounds.

Interesting question, loved reading everyone's answers! Sometimes I enjoy silence - it often feels like there is so much noise in the world that home is my only place where I can properly hear my thoughts and let my ears rest. However, sometimes I do listen to music and this is usually something upbeat or calming, depending how I'm feeling on that particular day.
