What music do you listen to while you make?

Hi there!

When I’m creating, I need to listen to something that will motivate me to keep going. Whether I’m knitting, cross-stitching or baking, I’m always playing records to get myself in the right frame of mind.

Do you listen to music while you make? If so, what kind do you choose? Why do you listen to the songs or artists that you do? Do they amp you up and get you excited to take on the day? Do they drive you to create more? Do you prefer music that calms you when things are stressful? Does it help keep you focused? Do you listen to music that will entertain you when work feels monotonous? Do you like something with a good beat to dance to when you need a little break?

Wow, lots of jazz-lovers here! I tend to switch between jazz, dream pop and nature sounds but I somehow always end up listening to funk... which gets me dancing rather than creating, lol.

Alexa plays all kinds of music for me during the day, but I also have her play Audible books for me as well. I tried to watch tv, but found it to distracting, I wasn't producing as much.

I have a productivity music collection on 8tracks and there are a ton of great playlists (like Bleeps & Bloops) on Spotify. I also listen to Welcome to Night Vale :) Right now, I'm listening to the Medieval soundtrack (yes, the old-school Playstation game).

Nothing original- but Discover Weekly from Spotify is the best. There you can listen different music whic you won`t discover yourself.

Mostly Frank Sinatra. Sometimes 'How I met your mothe'r & 'Big Bang Theory' keep playing in the Background.
Also an amazing World Radio App called PC Radio. Great choices it gives from Talk radio to all genre of music.
