What music do you listen to while you make?

Hi there!

When I’m creating, I need to listen to something that will motivate me to keep going. Whether I’m knitting, cross-stitching or baking, I’m always playing records to get myself in the right frame of mind.

Do you listen to music while you make? If so, what kind do you choose? Why do you listen to the songs or artists that you do? Do they amp you up and get you excited to take on the day? Do they drive you to create more? Do you prefer music that calms you when things are stressful? Does it help keep you focused? Do you listen to music that will entertain you when work feels monotonous? Do you like something with a good beat to dance to when you need a little break?

Actually I don't listen music when I create or when I'm studying, because it distracts me or I'm so focused on what I'm doing that I can't pay attention to anything else.

I love to listen music when I'm at the bus going to the college or work. It helps me to think about life and look through the window.

My taste is peculiar... lately I'm into Bollywood songs, eletronic music and heavy metal. :P

Spotify is probably the best £10 I spend every month- I have it on all the time! It's great because you have access to so many different types of music and you can create playlists to listen to while you're working!

For calm days I really like something classical like Einaudi or something more chilled like Bon Iver and James Blake.
Listening to some retro classics (Chaka Khan etc) can be very motivating too!

Loved reading what everyone else listens to, has given me a few new ideas!

I love to listen to music while I am creating, especially when I need to concentrate on something. I love listening to epic trailer music, which makes me feel like I am fighting some extraordinary battle while I'm designing a wedding invite. It's awesome :)!

I think as women; I don't know what goes through men's minds, but our taste in music, changes with emotions. I can listen to classical, to RB, Blues, Jazz, just Instrumental...Lately, it's been Joe Bonamassa; because I just saw him in concert and he played his guitar like it was strings of his soul. Music today, isn't real, with all machines, and fan dangled gadgets they use....nothing like Andre Bocelli, Frank Sinatra, old music I grew up on.....real music.
Count Basie, BB King....The real thing. Then, of course, Led Zepplin, Hendrix, Carly...and then RB....LOL !!! Enjoy your day filled with notes !
