What music do you listen to while you make?

Hi there!

When I’m creating, I need to listen to something that will motivate me to keep going. Whether I’m knitting, cross-stitching or baking, I’m always playing records to get myself in the right frame of mind.

Do you listen to music while you make? If so, what kind do you choose? Why do you listen to the songs or artists that you do? Do they amp you up and get you excited to take on the day? Do they drive you to create more? Do you prefer music that calms you when things are stressful? Does it help keep you focused? Do you listen to music that will entertain you when work feels monotonous? Do you like something with a good beat to dance to when you need a little break?

I Love house music.. All kinds.. Depending on the time and the procedure that i have to follow.
For example when i have to glue pieces together with fire i listen to more minimal and deep tunes while when i am preparing my models on wax i prefer down tempo and ambient vibes.

I listen to audiobooks! After all, one can't create if one's hands are full of book, and I couldn't survive without Book. Well, I probably could, but I wouldn't be happy.

I absolutely LOVE to listen to music while I create! All kinds of it but nothing really gets my creative juices going better than One Directions! I know, I know! I am a mom of preteen girls!

I most often work without music, but today was different. I had a bit of a mixture. Hammering silver to Guns and Roses and ACDC. Stringing pearls to some of my daughters music (including 1D) and precision welding to a piece of opera featured on the film Hannibal on loop. The opera is very calming and keeps my hands steady.

I am a huge music fan, and for the most part I will listen to something more mellow when creating. But then it always depends on my mood...and maybe how much coffee I've had lol, I may be more in the mood for faster upbeat and rhythmic melodies.

I love music. I have a musical education, I'm a guitarist. During my work I listen to most guitar music. I have a special, just a private blog with music that inspires me and helps me in my work. Sometimes I do a break to play the guitar.

I listen to all types of music, as many of you do. But what I prefer the most is to sit in the window, watch the birds dive down into my backyard or the butterflies fly by and I am in complete silence. That gives me the most creative way to my work.

have the laptop linked to an external with 1 TB of music... anything and everything from over the last few centuries... all torrents,, downloaded free.... nothing that doesnt come from the heart.. hate commercial music.... I dont make, I photograph only,, but while I am doing my etsying online or socmed.. then musics on.. esham, the smiths. stone roses,, new order,, doors,, pixies, blondie... right now Strawberry field from The Beatles has come round..... #random #winamp
