What do you post on your Facebook Page??

l'm stuck, I created a Facebook page a while back ago for my shop in hopes to gain some more followers but lately I've been stuck as to what I should post and I need ideas and suggestions.

I've been trying not to post only items from my shop and I'd like to include other shops and what you guys are doing, excited about and what not. But I am unsure of how to go about doing it. I just love when I see other shops featuring other shops in their blog, or Facebook page.

Any ideas are very welcome!
Thanks everyone!

Re: What do you post on your Facebook Page??

-My own products
-Other Etsy shops
-Little personal blurbs like "Gorgeous day here! Taking Abby outside to play." type things.
-Business related personal type things like, "Have a borderline migraine. Can't do much but can still crochet!" And had a pic of what I was working on. That was Instagram not FB though.

Re: What do you post on your Facebook Page??

Like Julie above, I post my own products by uploading items straight into albums, or I post work in progress pictures. I think people find that kind of thing interesting. I also occasionally tweet etsy or website links.

To keep it fun I like to share other peoples photos/work through their own FB page. It keeps the page interesting, not just all about you and sometimes it can result in a share for a share... promotion!

I also chat a little bit (nothing personal), but I'm still working on that - I never know quite what to say!

Re: What do you post on your Facebook Page??

I post my items with a little chit chat. I list 8 items a day but only post 3 to FB.

I also post sneak peek photo albums once a week. That way Facebook fans get first dibs.

I occasionally post likes to my favorite schools, museums, pet shelters and the like. I try to keep these postings noncontroversial.

I post links to shows I will be attending as a vendor

Re: What do you post on your Facebook Page??

I post my products, other people's blogs which featured my items (if they have Etsy store, I post the link too), promotions I do with other people, and pictures of my dogs because I sell dog related items.

I see some sellers post really personal things that customers probably wouldn't really care to know. I personally think you shouldn't post really personal stuff unless it is somehow related to your business, but it is up to you.

Re: What do you post on your Facebook Page??

I posted to grand opening of my new shop. Like a count down to "D" day. I treat my facebook page like a diary. Except I leave out the juicy stuff, stuff that is very personal. As I get going in the morning I post how I feel at that time. Then through out the day I post whats going on in my shop. New items, relisted items, are even questions. I ask questions to get feedback and get to know everyone.
It's my sounding board.

Re: What do you post on your Facebook Page??

I post a lot of different things. I get the most views from photos, though, so I post and repost those in different contexts often. For example, I post a photo with a link in the caption when I first list the item, and repost it when I renew the item, then repost it again in another album if it applies to the latest holiday. For example, I have an album of Mother's Day gift ideas with photos of and links to my products that would be good for Mother's Day, most of which are also posted in other albums on my page.

I also post questions, but don't usually get any response to them. Just trying to engage my fans but for some reason I just don't get any response.
I post events, sales, coupons, links to other shops I admire, a little blurb when I'm producing a new product line, tips for upcoming holidays, that sort of stuff. You can check it out, links are all over my shop.

Re: What do you post on your Facebook Page??

I do update my own products in the albums, which I know many people frown upon, but I currently make more sales on fb than I do on etsy so I have to keep it updated as its basically a second shop!

I post treasuries, tutorials from other blogs, talk about the weather. I try to get personal without actually 'getting personal'. Just enough to give my page personality and let people really meet 'me'. I've been neglecting as of late though, been really busy away from the computer so I may have to start scheduling posts.

Re: What do you post on your Facebook Page??

I try to do a greeting each day, like "Happy Monday." Sometimes I mention what I'm listening to or watching. This morning I posted a photo of canvases waiting for attention and mentioned that I was doing a gallery shift today.

I do post my stuff, letting people know that I've listed new items. Treasuries. I have posted about neat stuff I find in other shops or treasuries I really like. I try to only do no more than 3 posts a day

Re: What do you post on your Facebook Page??

I'm having fun posting works in progress. If I can, I take picture of the rock, then cabbed, then steps as I wrap it. I'm planning on doing a giveaway soon on one of these pieces. If I purchase a cab from a rockhound friend, I'll post it too, and 'shout' out to their Fb page if they have a business one.

It sort of makes me keep working on things. :)

Re: What do you post on your Facebook Page??

I started posting beautiful, colorful pictures if not everyday, at least a couple times per week. I'm trying to develop a 'lifestyle'. with my fan page. I call it the WTB kind of life. (whoa that's bright)

Basically I don't want to just post the items I have available. I want it to be more encompassing than that.

If I get new items in my shop I'll try to have a cute catchy description and promote the hell out of it.

I am just now starting to see the results of it. People are responding to the pics I post so I know eventually it will lead to more sales.

Re: What do you post on your Facebook Page??

It is a good idea to do FB updates 3-4 times a week unless you have a very engaged following who responds to your posts regularly. You can share complimentary posts from other businesses or information related to your product aslo.
