What are your goals for August?

We have only got a few more days until we start the new month of August.

I was just sitting here with my coffee & planning my goals for the month & thought it might be a good idea if we all shared what our goals to eachother? That way it will help us to be more committed& accountable towards our success & also this is the perfect place to lend advice & support to achieve them.

We can always add to them as the month goes on, mark them off as we go along & share when we have actually achieved that goal. How does that sound?

They don't just have to be Etsy related, they can be personal goals too.

My August goals are:

- Sell at least 4 items (have only had 3 sales so far)
- Have 1400 visits to my Etsy store
- Complete 8 new designs
- List 8 new items (Boy, Birthday, Halloween, Xmas)
- Study 2 new Copic techniques
- Create a new back-drop for taking better photos
- Blog, FB, Pin, Forums & Twitter each day
- Update at least 4 listings (Desc, titles, tags, photos, etc)
- Add 1 new treasury each week
- Add 5 supply items to Crafty Base inventory each day
- Go for half hr walks along the beach (Mon / Tues / Wed)
- Have fun cooking with Zoe (my Daughter) on Wednesday nights

AUGUST: Post my Christmas ornaments! But I first have to photograph them....aaaahhhhh...I hate photographing things... :O)

For August I have already preselected 16 journal styles that I want to get listed, 10 small by mid-month and 6 medium by the end of the month.

I also _need_ to process more paper for pages (big expense $ / time)

I will also be starting a back to school free-shipping sale.

August is my most difficult month because my kids are home from school and unlike July (when they have a day camp each morning) in August they are here every day all day.

My goal is actually to balance home and work this month in a way in which it does not hurt the business.... or ruin the kids' summer lol

And so my goal for August is simply to make it out alive LOL :)

I can't wait for August to come as I'm going holiday on the mid of Aug!

But before the day come, I would like to sell more items to keep me motivated and make at least 50-60 items (now 48) in my listing before I go holiday (I'm so excited to go to Europe countries! Yay! XD)

And then, while I'm enjoying my holiday, I will also brainstorm and look around of how to make my style bolder and have more characteristic.

Hi Tonya, not having a business plan sometimes makes you work extra harder with less results; having a business plan helps you be organized so that you can hork more effeciently and productively.

My goals for August (Agust 30, 1st year anniverssary)

---realistic goal to reach 175 sales (157 sales as of this hour)
---challenge goal 200 (hard, but not impossible)
---brainstorm holiday ideas (5-6 holiday great listings)
---create10 more great items
---list 10 more great items
---exercise 30 min. everyday
---lose 10 pounds (help, I been sitting too much)
---spend more time on my daily prayer.

* keep shop arranged

Good post! Makes me think more about what I need to focus on. I've only been selling for a couple of months & it's kind of slow going so far.

For August:
---have prints made of my paintings and list them in my shop
---finish painting my first batch of Christmas/winter items & list by end of August
---develop Halloween and Christmas item ideas and make prototypes
---improve listings & SEO to get more views & hopefully a few more sales
---post on my blog 2-3 times a week
---start using StumbleUpon and Tumblr again
---keep exercising 30 minutes a day at least 5 days a week

- Get shop items up to 50
- Start working on Fall/Holiday aprons
- Promote on Twitter and be active enough on teams to get 50+ views per day

As a new shop owner my goals might be a little different than most.

My goals for August:

- Gear up for the holidays by adding at least 8 new holiday related items a week.

- Participate weekly in one team activity for each team I am on.

- Expand my Facebook audience to 75 "Likes" (currently at 41)

- Have 150 items posted for sale in my shop (currently at 74)

- Attempt to make 2 items that are new to me (example: make a journal, or paint a picture)

Mine are pretty simple..
-Have at least 800 views
-Double the amount of favorites from July
-Make and list 15 pieces of jewelry
-List at least one new drawing
-List four "other" things
-Start working on plans for Halloween and Christmas
-Make one treasury a week
-Work on bettering my photos
-Finish my About page! ..I keep forgetting >.<

i have no business plan and no idea how to make one or register one or something? started this shop as a hobby..? and it looks like its been picking up..

my august goals are:
make more items!! (babies, photo props, fall, christmas items)
update photos, tags, and descriptions
be in more treasuries! (how do you do that?)
make at least 5 sales a month! (realistic?!)

and continue getting advice on how to get better! feedback alwayssss welcome!

I think having written goals out for the month is a fantastic idea! I am going to draft up a goal sheet today for August and put it up on my office wall!

Goals for August (Good Idea to plan this out - thanks!)

-Get shop up to 60 listings (i have 41 right now)
-Sell 10 items ( that would be a lot for me)
-Be more active on critiquing and commenting and helping other sellers with whatever I can offer
-Stop obsessively checking my stats - it doesn't change anything.
-Update any of my pictures that aren't up to standard
-Fix my about page and policies

keep working on my Christmas Stockings.

Try really hard to get my shop (home) organized
Change my schedule. It seems I've been trying to do everything everyday. That is not working out so well.
Post at least one item per week.
Maybe do a Time Study first so I can see how much time I really spend on things like cross-promotion (Pinterest, Wanelo, Teams, etc.)
Now I am tired and want a nap.
