Views?

How many views should I be shooting for of my shop/items a day. I know the more the better, but was wondering if I am actually getting a lot of traffic or if my numbers were low. I am assuming they are low,but am trying to work to do whatever I can.

Your views will vary depending on what you sell, how many items are in your shop, and how many renewals/new listings you have.

In the past week my views have been around 170 on average. And I have 68 items in my shop.

I was wondering the same thing myself- some shops seem to get soooo many views, but then again wjen you relist/renew the total continues to grow so may be misleading!

Any advice from any experienced sellers?

I only have 20 items so far (working hard to post more) and I get on average 30. :( I guess it really is directly related to how many items you have. Better get back to work :)

Hardrocks, I agree with Elegant, it depends on how many items you have but just to give you another stat, I have 32 items in my shop and I average around 75 views a day. Also so far every day I've hit over 90 views I've gotten a sale. So you might want to look at how many favorites, or views you usually get before a sale. It might help predict when you'll be getting another one :)

Thanks guys! This is all really helpful. I have been on Etsy almost a year, but only in the last 2 months have really been able to devote enough time to it. I will take any advice I can get, but seems I should start with adding more items.

I have only been on Etsy for three months, but I have had over 100 sales. I renew or relist items daily. When sales are good I'm simply renewing my sold items. I think this really helps! Some of my items get way more view than others. As a buyer I like to see that the item has been viewed a lot.

I put links to coordinating items in my listings if I think the buyer might also be interested in purchasing it as well. This has help the views for some of my smaller items that don't get many views. I have started getting sales for multiple items this way as well.
