Views and Sales from teams

Do you guys get in lots of views from the teams? How about sales? I've gotten a lot of views from teams lately which is great and all but, do team members tend to buy from other team members? What are you guys experience on this. Are team members likely to buy from other team members?

I think that it depends on what someone is selling. Supplies sell well to other Etsy sellers.

Since I sell an item that would only interest Etsy sellers, most of my sales are from within teams and the forums.

I have also made over 100 purchases from Etsy shops over the past 5 years and I have seen similar claims from other Etsy sellers on forum threads about buying on Etsy.

The short answer to your question is "yes."

If youre posting on the forums you will naturally be getting views from team members. I usually don't even count these as views because team members tend to view your shop to answer a question you asked on the forums or just to check you out. Not saying you wont ever get a sale from a team member, but if your goal is to get sales, you are better off promoting or marketing your shop outside of etsy.

I have gotten more views through joining team, though I did just start joining teams 2 days ago. That's basically why I want to join teams, aside from learning more about Etsy from team members, I wanted to help gain exposure for my shop.

I have also restarted my shop recently and I got more views and a sale yesterday after I joined the team but I wouldn't know if it came from a member.

I have gotten sales from other team members and I have bought from other team members too. When I need supplies the first place I turn to is here on Etsy, I try to always support my fellow artists. Feel like if I support others they in turn will support me. Trying to share the love and pass it on.

I haven't bought much from Etsy yet, but I've been looking at what people from teams sell and am getting ideas on things I'd like to buy in the future.

I get about 1% of my views from teams. The majority of my views are coming from outside of Etsy or from Etsy search.

I get about 20-30% of my views from teams, and actually I have had quite a few sales! Of course, it just depends on who clicks on your shop, and who finds it buyable!

A few sales from team members but I look at teams as networking and friendship building. I don't look for sales from team members as I expect most legit team members don't post just to get random sales & views. :)

I try to support team members and buy from them often, being on a team is another way to get exposure

If I'm going to buy something online, I try to do it on Etsy first. In that way I think teams can be helpful regarding sales. Also, it's the chain of events....a team member favorites your shop, their followers see that and are exposed to your shop....other than that I don't think there's a direct correlation to team views and sales.

I have only had one etsy seller/team member buy from me a year ago.

I call getting views, hearts from team members, empty. Yes it is nice to have a boost in stats, but it doesn't make any difference in my sales. It's the same with facebook, twitter etc, I have many empty likers and followers. People who like me and never look at my page ever again and the same on twitter. BUT, I do have genuine likers and followers, who have made purchases from me.

I find the days when I get the most sales are when I have the least views. Because those views are from genuine buyers, looking to buy and not from random sellers from teams just clicking here and there...

I really don't think I get that many views from Teams - at least when I check. But, I do get sales from other Etsy sellers quite often.
