Um... gulp... what did I do wrong here??

Yesterday evening I curated a treasury of some of my favorite Etsy listings, just having fun with it. Today however, I received a message from one shop owner who I had included in it.
The message read...

"remove my item from your treasury. don't come back to my shop."

And I've already removed the item as they requested.

I'm just very confused by their response... most Etsians are happy to have their items featured. I've made tons of treasuries and never had this response.

Am I missing something??

Such a bizarrely rude thing to do, now I am afraid to include shops I don't know in my treasuries, eek!

I really hope they respond to your convo and you let us know what in the world the issue was....

How unfortunate, there are numerous ways to communicate to our fellow members of Etsy. Everyone is entitled to be respected regardless of their opinions or thoughts.

Keep making beautiful Treasuries and just move on.

Was her item in the bottom row? I've heard of people getting upset/offended over this. If thats the case, she's not really worthy of being included anyway. I think this is a very ungrateful way to be...

Wow, this is one of the strangest Etsy experiences I've ever heard of. Even though people are doing mental gymnastics trying to think of possible reasons why the seller would do this, it's really INEXPLICABLE!! Crazy!! Weird!!! Mentally off!!
And your T is so beautiful, and obviously very successful. How ironic if it did end up on the FP!

So sorry this happened to you, I know I sometimes don't take the time to convo shops that I include in a treasury. There must be a reason why, but she was rude to say don't come back!

Does anyone know why photos disappear off treasury pages that have been already posted public? This is what keeps happening to my treasuries, I thought maybe listing run out, but it has happened at least 5 times. Can only the curator remove photos off treasuries?

it happened to mine too.. i thought maybe it was because the item is delisted already?

the shop respond just drop my glasses.. i would love to be in the list..and i always assume anyone would.

As this thread continues, I am soooo curious

I know that it is out of kindness that you do not want to share the offending shopowner's name but i am just SO curious as to why this happened.

Why on EARTH would someone say something so rude like that?

Ah Kristin.....I would LOVE to be in a treasury that has 500 views. Bu then again I love treasuries.

Have you done a search to see if the shop has been listed in any other treasuries? Although I would not invest too much energy as to the why's.
Their loss really with all those wonderful views.

So sad that people have to be so rude like that. If anything, you brought views and possible customers to her store. For some reason this past week has been a strange one. You wouldn't believe how many mean things have happened to me this past week. You just have to shrug it off and move on. You are a nice person and don't let it bother you too much :)

@Lora, If an item expires it will disappear from the treasury. If the item is renewed it will retain the same listing identification number and show up in your treasury, although it will be in the last of the 16 spots.

This whole thing baffles me. Even if my listing is in the last row I'm thrilled that someone liked my item enough to include it in a treasury! She's wacky!

Kristin....if you fill in the empty spaces and replace any sold items, your treasury could be eligable for the FP.

Now THAT'S an explanation I can buy. She forgot to take her meds! Or she ran out! I know I certainly get cranky when I forget my meds. :)

Reading what happened to you felt like a punch in the stomach to me; I guess I'd keel right over if it actually happened to me! I'm so sorry. People can be so mean online--I guess it feels impersonal. I can't imagine why, either, especially since it is a quality treasury and in no way brings their brand down. Maybe they ARE a reseller and don't want the attention right now...probably not, though, if they say they love treasuries.

Silver lining/ mixed blessing, whatever you want to call it, you are getting hits and views for having done the right thing- she is missing a nice experience by being such a crab. Who wins here, huh?

I agree it's meds. or the giant full moon, or whatever we can spin and scapgoat this week...

( And I too feel honored when placed in ANY treasury. They are a lot of work!)

That is sad for you :( But it really is a lovely treasury. I can imagine how you feel, if it was me, even though I have created just a few to date, I would probably give up forever....that, or sent a convo asking who pissed in her cornflakes...perhaps I need those meds mentioned above ;)
