I was all set to begin disputes with my post office until I found out how incredibly elaborate their compensation claims were. They based their compensation to you on only the material costs, so if it took me 3 hours to make a piece of jewellery, and all of the materials are from upcycled vintage watches and cogs, I had to send them proof of all costs of all materials, down to each cog, or they would refuse to pay, meaning I had to print out receipts and do the maths to find a price for each individual item that made up a piece. Suffice to say, this was hours of leg work for each individual piece that went missing, and any expenses, postage costs, profits and labour went down the drain anyway.
I decided it was not worth my while to claim for each piece that went missing because the post office were so unwilling to replace the lost goods.
I don't know if this works for all postage carriers, as this one was in the UK- you might have some more luck. I would contact them and keep on contacting them until your disputes are resolves, as I find companies like are happy to palm you off until the end of time.
