Tips for Getting Featured on Etsy

Hi everyone!
One question I often hear from sellers on our Etsy Success social media channels and elsewhere is, "How can I get featured?”

Though the selection process differs by channel (whether you're hoping to be featured in an Etsy Finds email, the Seller Handbook, one of Etsy's social media channels, or elsewhere), there are common qualities that Etsy editors and merchandisers look for when choosing products and shops to highlight. Thanks Jessica! Wish more people would take the time to read the Seller Handbook. It’s sad to see many shops don’t take advantage of these great tools. Meeting all the criteria is a lot easier than you think.

My advice – Read great articles like this, join teams, and review other shops giving each other positive feedback along with constructive criticism to help them become more successful. We can all learn something from each other.

I use blogs that allow you to add your Etsy shop link and have been featured in many blog posts, I use Facebook, Pinterest and forums to help promote my shop.

To be found is the most difficult part on etsy. But I think popular shop has reasons to be found! Like Andrew said, join teams and lean and help eachother are great tips too!

Great tips to update your own shop and the level of items in general.
But you need to be more than a little bit lucky to be featured. It's a lottery between several million sellers.

So the best advice is to be successful by your own to be interesting for Etsy.

I've had works featured in the etsy finds email. I don't really know how the particular items were chosen, however I can say that the items were all unique to me & my shop...you won't find anything like them anywhere else, so it's good to stand out. You won't find yourself in competition with anyone if you make something completely different.

Also, many people had favorited them before they were featured (so they were items trending in popularity), and they were photographed well. I use natural light on an overcast day if possible to get less glare, less harsh shadows, and the truest color.

I have been working really hard on my shop the past 2 months. My SEO is great and I can see the benefits. I gave my shop a makeover and an overall cohesive look. Fingers crossed the day will come soon when I am featured :)

I am a computer dummy...I bought a website feature from Etsy for $13...they have been prompting people to do it so I did. I used it with Facebook and I would like to know how I can use it with other sites...any help appreciated!

Thank you. This is my third day on Etsy, and have already been favorited 258 times, listening to the tips here. I will take all of this new advice in consideration and adapt my store to hopefully get featured one day.
