Time to reopen?

I posted this in the general forums and it keeps getting buried and I would love some wisdom on the subject. Thanks in advance!

I opened a second shop to sell my paintings and rings that contained more painterly subject matter shortly after Christmas of last year and I did pretty well for the first few weeks. Then I had about two months of no sales and freaked out a little, so I moved everything over to this shop to see if it was a traffic issue. I made nine sales in the other shop and have yet to sell my paintings in this shop, so this may be a no-brainer, but should I reopen that shop before the shopping season starts up? I am thinking I may have jumped ship over in my other shop too soon, or should I just keep my paintings here in this shop and hope people are waiting for Christmas shopping to buy my little artwork? They do get favorites, just no sales since the move. I am super torn.

(I am planning on creating and listing new art, so I would definitely have enough inventory)

Thoughts? Suggestions?

You could try an experiment. Reopen your other shop and put half your inventory in there and the other half in this shop, keep track of stats for two weeks, and see which one gets more traffic.

That's a good idea, Hollyday! I was thinking about putting my paintings in there as well as some of my rings since those are original paintings also.

I think you should open your other shop back up too. You probably didn't let yourself really get a good start. It does take time for the search engines to pick you up in the searches and then you need to get established.
Also, tighten up your tags a little bit to get those beautiful paintings found :-)
