Thoughts on Foto Fuze

Sooooo...... I just signed up for Foto Fuze last night. (The free version). This morning I had a few extra minutes so I tried it out on a few of my gallery pics. I thought they turned out good. I still need a new camera and I think with that my pics will be even better.
I was considering subscribing to the full version. Anyone have that? How is it better? Also, how much do you give a month? Any other thoughts and input is certainly welcome!

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

I have it. Seems to work exactly the same. Lol. But I believe in supporting anything I truly love and use often. My pictures would suck without it :)

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

I am not familiar with Foto Fuze. I will have to check it out as my photos aren't so great.

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

I use Fotofuze all of the time....easy, fast, and I like the results. I have to agree with Lauren, my photos would totally suck without it.

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

Jaclyn :) the one thing that is different that I forgot about is processing time. Photos process faster when you upgrade.

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

Do you use any other editing? Just curious. Also, whenever you create a new listing, do you do it through foto fuze? Such as the description and tags, etc.

One more question, has anyone had any drawbacks?

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

I struggle with it, whenever I try they make my items look awful and washed out as they become so bright!

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

I noticed that with one I worked on earlier, I am wondering if my previous editing has something to do with it. I need to take time to play with it, but I have zero right now. I am a full time student, mom, and wife....

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

One more thing, anyone know if there is a way to opt out of the emails that tell you a pic is done? That gets old fast...

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

Hi Jaclyn! I use FotoFuze (the free slow version) and am satisfied with it. I try to edit my photos on off evenings when the rest of the world isn't editing theirs, too and it seems to help!

As for the emails... go to your Profile, then on the left hand side of the page is a little box next to "Disable Fuze Complete Emails" - click on it and make the check mark appear! Those emails get bothersome don't they?!

Best wishes! =^-^=

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

I hate fotofuze, I think of it as uglyfuze. Stark, unnatural, ugh.

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

Jaclyn...nope. With my lightbox...just fotofuze. No need for anything else. I do listings through etsy and then fotofuze real fast lol

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

Ok that makes sense. I am going to have my father in law build me a light box that I can use for my model. I think that and the new camera I plan to get (soon I hope!) will give me the look I'm going for. Hopefully that will increase sales. (I am not complaining on that part since I didn't start listing until the end of July and I made several sales in the month of August!)

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

Bumblys, Your pictures look great. I have just started trying to use a lightbox. What kind of light bulbs do you use as your light source? Do you use the manual setting on your camera? I am really lost right now and trying to practice so I can improve my photographs.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one who feels that way! I thought it was just me! FotoFuse does something weird to fabric/apparel pics....makes it look un-naturally bright/plasticy or something....although it seems to work fine for jewelry and hard items....

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

Fotofuze is a new obsession. I updated my first listing shot through my entire shop. It took two days. Totally worth it! The views are sky rocketing. Thank you Lauren with Bumblys for referring to it earlier in your posts. You have made a difference in my shop! Blessings

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

I didn't have the best of luck with Foto Fuze (they looked too bright or weird), so I use Picmonkey instead. Totally free and works really well!

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

I bought a piece of white plexiglas from a guy on etsy and it's made all the difference for my photos. My computer has photo editing software on it so I just pop up the brightness a bit. The backgrounds are white and I've only had a couple issues with the color of my items. I like this option better than fuze because I have more control over the images. Still have a few images to update but for the most part it's changed my pix for the better, for sure!

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

I know that my photos are a little gray in the background, but I find that Fotofuze really distorts the colors of my fabrics ( Thank you, Janet V.- now I don't feel so crazy). Perhaps it works with some mediums better than others?

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

Roslyn: I just have CFLs in my lamps. I think 13 watts? My camera is set to "P" (program mode), macro on, flash off.

Jenn: thanks! And your welcome!

Everyone with fotofuze issues... Particularly fabric/apparel. If you look to the right hand side of editing page. There is a reduce noise setting. That is probably the source of your problem. Try setting it to zero.

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

I like fotofuze. Some of my pictures are beyond help but it really improves most of them. Still haven't had time to do them all.

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

I am on a photography mission! Taking all five pics of my 230ish products. First, retaking for style, then feeding through FotoFuze, It does a strange thing to depth of field sometimes, like it washes out the colors that are far away. But not often, and until I find a better method, I am sticking with this one. Sometimes I just have to rest with what is my best for a moment....anyone else feel that way? Not like I've stopped striving forever, but for a moment. I think this is the third or fourth time I've redone all of my photos. With 11 pages, I am guessing about two weeks to finish all. Must remain patient :).......

Re: Thoughts on Foto Fuze

Yes, me too. For now my pics are the best I can offer. That may limit sales, but I will get there one day at a time. :)
