Thefind.com

This was one of my traffic sources today, anyone know anything about it, I certainly never submitted my shop, how have they found me? Has anyone had sales from it?

Re: Thefind.com

I get that source too. I have no idea what it is or how I am linked to it. I don't think I've gotten any sales from it.

Re: Thefind.com

Yeah, I had a little random traffic from it last week. No sales, but any publicity is welcome!!

Re: Thefind.com

I just noticed I had a view from there today, too! I'm going to investigate to see if it's another place we could promote............

Re: Thefind.com

From what I've read and can tell, thefind is a shopping search engine and your page was found by one of its crawlers and then listed in its databank so that when someone does a shopping search for whatever keyword they're using, your shop popped up. I think that's pretty awesome!

Re: Thefind.com

I believe it's a pretty well known shopping search engine, and usually, stand alone websites sign up for that by putting their code on the site. Excellent job to what ever you're doing to be found by them here. I'm found by them on my own site, but never here. Congratulations!

Re: Thefind.com

Wah wah wahh....
went to create a Merchant Account for my shop, and got this:

"Complete the site owner verification process by uploading a blank .html file to the root directory of your website."

So if you have your own website it would work, but not for your etsy shop.

Re: Thefind.com

I started getting traffic from this source when I listed my coca cola fabric. "Coca cola" must be a very popular search term because now I typically get this as a traffic source daily for my fabric.

BTW - I just sold a piece of the Coca Cola fabric yesterday! - so I am happy my shop got "found" by thefind.com!

Re: Thefind.com

etsy is the website --- u just need to put the .html file in the root directory - which i assume u can't do because etsy manages your website... anyone have a work around ?

One of my first etsy sales was actually through thefind.com, so it can happen for anyone!
