I'm taking a poll -

Do you like to be notified if you've been featured in a treasury list?

When I create a treasury I like to notify all those featured as I like to be notified when I am featured in order to say thank you and comment on it. It's difficult when you are a part of so many circles and are busy creating to check the activity feed, in my opinion. And I really do like to know when I've been featured. It's encouraging to know what people are responding to. In addition, I always write something like "treasury" in the subject line, when sending a treasury notification, so sellers know whether it's from a customer or not.

Yes, I want to be notified! Then I am CERTAIN to see the T, and Fav and promote, circle it, etc.

Add me to the list of "prefer to be notified". I am relatively new to Etsy but I don't think I'll ever tire of getting a convo that one of my items has been chosen to be on display. I also agree that the convo is an excellent "ticker" for me to help promote the treasury. I mean, after all, it is the least I can do for the person who was so kind to include my item. Or at least, that is my opinion.

I didn't know how to search the treasuries either, until reading the posts here, to see if I'd been included. I tried it, and to my amazement, there were a couple treasuries that I didn't know about. I guess I missed it in my activity feed. Nonetheless, now I can be sure to promote those as well.

I have to say I prefer notification! Sometimes, the treasury doesn't appear in my feed (even when only "Your Shop" is checked) and I don't notice it till a week or so... also, it's nice to hear from people who've taken the time to feature you... I'm more likely to promote them in return!

When I started making treasuries I didn't send any notification resulting in low views. I send a notification every time now receiving much more participation.

I never advertise my own business. I only mention that I have treasured their item in the treasury and hope that they enjoy it and have a great day. I am not expecting anything back. What I don't like is when they contact me back and send all kinds of sales, coupon codes and links to advertise to me. I feel like the treasury wasn't enough.

I also don't like when I get a notification telling me I am in a treasury and that I should fb, twitter, spread the word etc. Isn't that obvious? If I chose not to though that is my choice.

Well I guess you can't please everyone. So I will just notify but not promote. I hope that's a good balance.

I like to be notified so that I can take time to look at the treasury and thank the person.

I like to be notified. I have so much going on in my activity feed that I too often find out I missed a treasury or two. People are kind enough to add me to a treasury, I want to make sure I comment and favorite!!

I am so grateful when my items are chosen for a treasury, and I appreciate the notification. As a busy mom of four as well as a shop owner, I have days where I'm creating rather than spending time on my computer. On those days, I don't look at the activity feed, but I do receive messages on my iphone. Whenever I receive a message about a treasury, I log on and promote it.

I liked the quick one sentence convo some one sent me once that just said "Hello Heather, you have been treasured!" with a link to the treasury. It makes me feel like the curator really took care in selecting his/her items and artists for their treasury.

I definitely like the convo. I do NOT always find Ts in my activity feed, especially if it's from a different time zone. I always put "no need to respond" in my notification convos, because I do not particularly like the ones I get which ask me to share everywhere. I do often share them - but I don't like to be told to!

I do like the convos.
In the morning I only check Etsy on my iPad and somehow the activity feed doesn't work, so I won't notice without the convo.
I always send out convos too and havent got negative reactions yet. Maybe those who are annoyed just quickly delete the convo ^^

I like to get notified. Otherwise i am so busy sometimes they get buried in my activity feed and I don't feel like going down the whole list.

'm in too many circles to reallly notice treasuries in my activity, so really appreciate being notified, also I try to pay back the exposure, so save the convo's untill I did, and only then remove them.

If somebody took the effort to add me I try to heart and comment as soon as I can, as this gives the treasury, with my item in it, more exposure.

I do send notifications myself as well, but do not put links to facebooks, twitters, or commercial messages in there, I really don't like those...

I like the notification...even when I check only "my shop" in activity feed...well sometimes I miss it... Because I'm awful about checking the activity feed, so I usually have a couple days worth to go through...and that a lot of info in my feed.

Email notifications maybe, but I hate getting convos for it since I could find this out from my activity feed or shop stats.

I like to be notified. I get featured in a lot but still like to comment etc
but sometimes they don't show in my feed at all (i know from when i do get notified & check feed) sometimes i just don't have time to check. I f i know then i have the option of deciding whether to comment, if i don't i can't.

treasuries i've made & not notified, less than half those featured comment... when notified at least 2 thirds do.

If i was too busy i might not get time, but certainly wouldn't be nasty or huffy (which i have seen) over something that is a big part of etsy for so many people.

I like to be notified as well - I've definitely missed a few (more lately than before) because the activity feed doesn't seem to be loading correctly, or loads differently depending on what I'm using to check etsy. Two of them recently didn't even show up in my activity feed at all!

I always like to read through these types of threads, as I can never really tell what the general consensus is... and I never want to bother anybody! It definitely seems like more people here are in favor of the convo notification this time around.

I like it, but I would still check out the treasury from my activity feed if I didn't get a convo.

I am happy to have the notification. It gives me a chance to promote the treasury and I know treasuries take time to make so it's always nice to add a comment. It takes 2 seconds to read the email, so it's no big deal if I get an email about it.

No, I don't like to be notified. It's pointless as if you go to your activity feed and uncheck the box for activity from your circle, you can easily see when you've been featured.

I guess I can see how it's really exciting when you're new, and I enjoyed getting the notifications then. But now I get sometimes a dozen convo's a day JUST from treasury notifications. It's kind of obnoxious - but this is just my own two cents.

Yes I like to be notified. I don't always have time to send out notifications to everyone when I do a treasury, but I appreciate when I am notified. Like others have said, the activity feed is not always reliable.
