Do you like to be notified if you've been featured in a treasury list?

When I create a treasury I like to notify all those featured as I like to be notified when I am featured in order to say thank you and comment on it. It's difficult when you are a part of so many circles and are busy creating to check the activity feed, in my opinion. And I really do like to know when I've been featured. It's encouraging to know what people are responding to. In addition, I always write something like "treasury" in the subject line, when sending a treasury notification, so sellers know whether it's from a customer or not.

Yes, I like to be notified when an item from my shop is featured in a treasury.

No, I don't like to be notified. It's pointless as if you go to your activity feed and uncheck the box for activity from your circle, you can easily see when you've been featured.

I guess I can see how it's really exciting when you're new, and I enjoyed getting the notifications then. But now I get sometimes a dozen convo's a day JUST from treasury notifications. It's kind of obnoxious - but this is just my own two cents.

I get notified in my activity feed, but I don't love getting the emails from people. Although, I do understand WHY they send the emails. :)

I don't mind getting notified, I understand why they do it and always cross my fingers it'll get on the front page!

However, I can't stand those that message me and include links to their blog, twitter, shop, store deals etc. in the message. It's so tacky and I always mark them as spam.

I don't like the email. I see it in my Activity Feed. I can sort my Activity Feed to see just my shop, and then I know what's been happening lately.

Well I like it.

I've been here a while and get loads of convos a day but always like the ones where people have taken the time to feature my products. My activity feed is busy and I often miss things so I little message just to draw my attention is welcome! I try to make the effort to fav and comment, sharing some on my social media as well.

As Lydia said if the title says Treasury then it's pretty simple to work out which ones are from customers and which are 'just for fun'

I don't care to be notified. I typically see it in my activity feed.

Activity feed is fine--it's a compliment to be included in the treasury.

Obnoxious? I'm grateful for every treasury I'm included in. They are, after all, something that others, quite often strangers, are doing for me. I am glad to be notified and since most treasurers put 'treasury' somewhere in the subject heading, IF I was bothered by them, I could delete without opening.

I agree with Caroline. I don't mind getting an email. Then I can thank the person again by replying rather then just in the treasury.

Caroline - I said the notification convo was obnoxious, not the treasury! I'm grateful for every treasury I'm included in too! I make it a point to favorite and comment on every single one the includes an item from my shop!

I prefer to receive a convo as I don't check my activity feed as often and it will quickly get buried, but I can see why others would not like it.

I like a convo as well, because the Activity Feed is not 100% reliable. And well sometimes the Convo system isn't either, but regardless, I like and don't mind a convo. :)

I don't mind at all. After all, if someone has kindly taken the time to do something that may promote my work, I understand they want to be certain people respond to them.

I've missed out on a number of treasuries before where I didn't receive a convo and only realised when I was looking at a particular item in my shop. Yes, they do pop up in notifications, but some people don't log in every day so treasuries can easily get lost at the bottom of a pile of activity feed.

Also worth bearing in mind is that we've had quite a few episodes of bugs with activity feed lately.

I know some people say they don't like them and that it only duplicates the notifications but in my personal experience, the treasuries I send convos for seem to get a lot more participation and feedback than those I don't send convos for. I even took the time to test this out because some people had said they didn't like the convos.

To me, the idea of reporting someone for spam just because they happened to include me in a treasury which can only be of benefit to my shop just seems a bit mean-spirited.

So far, it looks like we have 6 "likes" for convo notification and 5 "no's"

I can see how a veteran etsian would find these convos overwhelming as they receive so many a day and have to sort through for important customer convos. ( I wish to have this problem someday : )

I think it's also important that new etsy sellers know that they can sort their activity feed by clicking the circle,shop, or you boxes in their activity feed. I've noticed some annoying glitches with these sometimes where it doesn't sort them appropriately though.

In addition, I've recently learned that you can find out if you've been featured in any treasury lists you might have missed or not known about by doing the following -

Click the "Buy" button on the top left hand corner of etsy's page.

On the next page, under "ways to shop" click "treasury"

Then in the search bar, type the name of your shop. You will then see not only the treasuries you've created but also those that you have been featured in.

I don't mind being notified. Actually, my activity feed lags a lot and I often miss notifications that way. I wouldn't have even known about my first FP feature if it wasn't for a combination of craftopolis + craft cult use to figure it out.

I see it in my activity feed, anyway. It doesn't bother me at all to be notified, though. I don't notify people when I create one, but maybe I would have better results if I did.

I love it. Otherwise I don't realize it and the treasury accidentally gets ignored. But, if they let me know, I am right there promoting it. :)

I personal like it when I am notified. That way I don't have to go searching through my activity feed. A couple of times it didn't show up and I was glad that someone sent me a convo. I love to see what others put together and thankful for someone that uses one of my quilts.

I like when someone notifies me. I only began selling on Etsy a month ago, so I find it a nice way to get to know other sellers and seeing what kinds of treasuries my jewelry ends up in.
