Some very sad news about one of our own

It is with heavy heart I share this.

My friend from high school and birthday buddy, Diane has passed. You guys know her as one of our team leaders, Di Dial from SassySparks.

She suffered a major heart attack on monday and was put into an induced coma. She left us yesterday at noon. She had a husband and two kids and was an amazing artist.

I've known her for 27 years and even though we lived in different cities and lost touch over the years, when we reconnected on FB and she found out I was starting a shop here she instantly took me under her wing.
She helped me have confidence to be here (and join this team) and was the first to 'like' my store.

We shared the same birthday, and she was exactly one year younger than me. I'm in shock and feeling my own mortality right now.
I just needed to share...

Dear Lynn,

I suppose there are no words that can comfort you, nor Diane's family at this moment. I know this because I have been in that road of grief and loss (I've lost my father and my older sister (my only sister), many, many years ago).

Anything that anyone can tell you or Diane's family makes no sense at this moment. But the truth is that, time is our best friend when we lose someone, because time does heal everything. So do let time do its job...

There's a Portuguese word: "saudades" that cannot be translated in English.

Having "saudades" is, in this case, being able to remember Diane without the pain, the tears, the anger of her loss. It's a peaceful feeling, because you miss the person or anything else with sadness...

Time will help you and Diane's family to fell "saudades" of her... It takes time but it will happen, I'm sure about that.

Allow me, if I may to make a suggestion: why not a treasury about Diane?

May you and Diane's family be comforted in this painful moment.
