Slooooooow March :(

I had good February made 8 sales. For me (I am still new on Etsy) that was great.
March no so good had only 1 sale :(
I am little discourage but I am working harder then ever and hoping to get sale soon .
Is it just me or it has been very slow month ?

That's pretty good for February! I am eagerly awaiting my first sale but I did open March 1st so still brand new. There were few other people who posted asking the same thing you did. Could it be that people are busy preparing their taxes?

I had a really good February (10 sales) and March only 2 orders so far. It IS slow!

Spring Break for the major universities and many schools has been the previous 3 weeks, and now this week we're going into Easter weekend. There's just less activity in general on Etsy right now.

I've been using the time to increase my offerings and clean up my listings.

yup, I am really slow too...Jan and Feb were great, I'm hoping people are just preoccupied with snowstorms and kids off school - once Spring hits it should look up :-)

March has been slow for me this year and last. Last year March was my slowest month (I think I sold less than $5 in product the whole month).

My advice is to spend the month preparing for when things DO pick up. Things will start picking up as we progress into the season, so rather than spending time focusing on how slow it is, keep your focus on being ready for the sales to start rolling in more often.

Amy, that is good to know March appears the norm for slow time. Since opening, I've researched various places places to do off-Etsy marketing and work on adding more items.

I had 20 orders in the beginning of the month - week 3 has been SLOOOW.
First two weeks were awesome.

As many of you, Jan and Feb were excellent for me, but March, ugh! Bad, I haven't even sell the same amount I sold March 2012.

Things were slow for me until last Tuesday. Since then I've gotten 5 orders! One sale was for four ready to ship items. The most recent was a custom order for 120 tags, which I'm still working on. I haven't had a rush of sales like this since last November. I'm pretty happy right now. :)

Do you normally pick up or slow down at tax time?

Maybe it's just the natural ebb and flow of business. When I start to focus too much on the little picture (stats one day at a time) I can grow more discouraged - but then I click on the stats for the last 12 months - and see growth overall - and much higher numbers - and it can boost my spirits.

I'm trying hard to stay focused on the good things. I'm a pessimist by nature, so for me, it is an ongoing struggle. Hang in there! :)

Yeah it has been pretty slow for me, I haven't been getting many views and no sales since January...even then I had better views in January. I started a blog though, so maybe that will help some. I hope I get a sale soon though, it's my b-day Saturday and it would be a gift from Etsy if I got a sale lol.

It hasn't been a bad month except when I compare it to March of 2012. I blew that month out of the water. I blame Easter being so early this year. All my sales last year were for Easter items and this year no one even ordered Easter items before last week. I've had to turn a few customers away that wanted to order made-to-order items this week because I just cant get them made and mailed in time for Sunday. :(

Very frustrating March. Only three sales all month... Are there stars on Etsy sale cycles somewhere??
