Showcase? Is it worth it?

Has anyone had any success with using the showcase feature? I'm thinking about it but would like some feedback! Thanks :)

I've never heard anything positive about this feature, so I'm going to assume the answer is no. Hopefully someone who has tried it can chime in, though.

I trialled it for a week, got maybe a 5% increase in views, 2 favourites and no sales. For me, it didn't really work, but looking at the search words people most commonly use to find me, I'm perhaps on the first page of a lot of those searches anyway. Not a crowded market in Jane Austen necklaces and vintage tin bird brooches :)

I've tried the search ads and got a few hits but no sales off it... Now I'm thinking of the showcase... Decisions decisions!!!

Run - do not walk - away from showcase. There are lots of threads on this topic - the majority will tell you it is a waste of money. Some call it the "newbie tax" because everyone new tries it & regrets it. Think how many listings you can get from that same $7.

Ahh ok, thanks rrizzart. I still haven't quite figured out how to find threads on things I want to know. I shell go have another poke about. I thought it might not be worth it... Think I will leave it alone. $7 dollers is quite a lot. Thank you :)

Tried it for 2 days one for necklaces one for bracelets, got nothing out of it. should have used the money for a facebook ad.

I've purchased quite a few Showcases, and it doesn't seem like any of them led to sales. The only luck I had was on Cyber Monday, but I also had free shipping and Cyber Monday tags, so it is hard to determine what exactly led to the sales. I would get a small increase in views, but I've seen a better increase in views since I started being active in Teams, Treasuries, and as I've added more items to my shop. I don't buy them any more.

Sounds like everyone has had the same luck as I have had. IT didn't do enough for me either.

I tired it and actually felt it was a waste of money and didn't get more views at all. That day was actually slower and it was a weekend!
Not doing that again. Waste of money.

I do not know if anyone has mentioned it already, but a lot of etsians call the showcase the newbie tax, I paid it and it did not pay back at all

Being in treasury making teams and treasury challenges works 100% more effectively for me than the showcase and like someone said before in a showcase thread... when have you ever paid attention to one? (sorry I can not quote you whoever said so, do not remember the username)
