I got a great tip last night on another thread (
http://www.etsy.com/teams/5002/etsy-success/discuss/11029481/page/1/) from Natalie at
http://www.etsy.com/shop/GrammaticalArt. It was about using back-links. Even searches then back linking the results.
As you probably know, the link was huge. After I did a little research, I found on etsy a way to shorten URL's via bit.ly.
It took this link
http://www.etsy.com/shop/CraftedLocally/search?search_query=red&search_type=user_shop_ttt_id_6413849...and shortened it to this.
http://etsy.me/QQslUFObviously this is visually better. One drawback is it does not have my shop name in the link.
Truncating the link is an option too
http://www.etsy.com/shop/CraftedLocally/search?search_query=red&search_I was wondering if anyone has used bit.ly, what you thought about it, any drawbacks or pros for it.
Thanks for your feedback.
