Shop avatar vs public profile avatar

I am changing my shop avatar, and have only found one way to go about it through my public profile. Are shop avatars and public profile avatar's one and the same, or can you have a different image for each? And if you can, as a shop owner should you?

I actually wonder the same thing. Right now I've got separate avatars, though I was considering making my shop avatar more along the lines of what I'm selling...not sure, but good question.

Your shop and profile avi are the same, you can use your about page to have a photo of yourself and use your profile/shop avi to display what you're selling if you want though.

Tracy, how did you go about having separate avatars? When I changed my public profile It simultaneously became my shop avatar, which makes me suspect that Sarah is right.
