Your shop policies on Etsy are the place to help buyers make informed purchase from your shop. They answer buyer questions, let customers know what to expect, and even go so far as helping to build trust and instill confidence in potential buyers.

As part of back to basics month, we’re shining the spotlight on this important area in your shop and we’re here to help! A few of us from the Seller Ed team will be in and out of this thread critiquing shop policies and we’d love your help. I am a fairly new shop owner, selling in vintage, and would love a shop policy critique. Vintage is tricky enough on its own, let alone trying to write general policies applying to all objects. Many thanx!

Hi! I set up my shop last week, and found writing the policies really hard, so I'd love some feedback. I'm especially unsure about shipping information, postage charges, returns etc. I looked around other people's shops for ideas, but it would be great to hear what the professionals think.

I would be grateful for this. I'm lost in this area. I copied the friendly personable tone of the policies of another seller that has similar things as me that I really admire how fast she became successful. It's hard to be personable and give enough information without being sounding way too wordy.
