Hey sellers!

Your shop policies on Etsy are the place to help buyers make informed purchase from your shop. They answer buyer questions, let customers know what to expect, and even go so far as helping to build trust and instill confidence in potential buyers.

As part of back to basics month, we’re shining the spotlight on this important area in your shop and we’re here to help! A few of us from the Seller Ed team will be in and out of this thread critiquing shop policies and we’d love your help. * You could include whether or not international customers are responsible for customs fees, taxes, duties, etc.
* Also for international shipping, maybe a time frame customers should allow for their order to get to them, or comment that shipping times can be long.

Hi samsdesigns, all looks good, my only suggestion at the end of the policies when you talk about lost goods/packages.
I am under the understanding Pay Pal will refund the customer if the package is lost, regardless what the story/situation was.

I sell vintage and I build the price of insurance in the cost of my items, because in my situation I can't replace them.

My suggestion is that I would check out the Pay Pal policies just for your own piece of mind. So some day you don't caught in a negitive situation.

Although we have had an Etsy shop since Oct 2011-we still feel like beginners-We have had some luck at sales but would like to do lots better.
We are not tech savvy, we have just been learning as we go. We have tried to look at other shops that are doing well and take lessons from what we see.
We would love a critique and would take any help to get better at what we are trying to do.
We love to make things and are very excited about our little shop and are so happy to this opportunity.

Yes, I would also love some advice! I am new to Etsy and have not yet made a sale so I had to guess on what my policies should be. I am especially concerned about the shipping and returns portions of the policies (I guess that covers most of it anyway) because I have not been through those processes. Thanks for the opportunity!
