Shop Advice

Hi! This is my first time posting on the Etsy success boards, but I am looking for advice. I opened my shop in May 2012, and I have had pretty steady views ever since, but only 2 sales. I post on teams, and add people to my circles. I have also recently listed more items. Does anyone have any advice on how to improve/boost my shop?

Thanks in advance for any advice :)!

Re: Shop Advice

The first three words of your titles are the most important for search. So make sure the first three words are keywords that someone might use to search for your product.

Write your 'About' page. People love to see the person behind the shop.

Also, make sure the majority of your tags are more than one word. One word tags are too broad for you to show up high in search results, usually. So use short phrases that someone may use to search for your product (like in your first three words of your title. Same concept).

Re: Shop Advice

You need to write up your policies. Make them positive sounding.

Is there a way to personalize the drawings, maybe put in initials or something to make it more enticing?

"20% the whole shop for the month of July with HAPPYJULY coupon code!" This sentence does not make sense.

They say that in order to draw more people to a shop, you need to have about 100 items.

Can you make your drawings into jewelry? Print them on to t-shirts?

good luck!! Kate :)

Re: Shop Advice

Thank you to you both! Great suggestions!

Would it work to add additional listings of the drawings in different sizes of the prints? or would that just clutter the shop?

Sadly I think making them into jewelry, or onto t-shirts would be cost prohibitive for me, at least until I get a few more sales.

Thanks again!
