I keep shorting myself on the shipping charges on international sales. I'm in the U.S. and just got an order to Australia. My question is this:
From the US, what is the most expensive place to ship to (so I can better calculate shipping rates)?

In Australia you can get packing parcels, 500 grams, 1kg, 3 kg or 5 kg are all different prices for different zones, try looking it up on your local post service they might have something similar?
Other than that I would suggest keeping a spread sheet with a tab for each country you have shipped to and log the weight, the cost and the average delivery time.

Go to USPS and calculate your shipping costs. Type in each country to see the cost. My items don't weight much, but a lot of the other countries are around $10-15 for only 3 oz.

Most expensive destination by USPS is UK and to make matters worse the only service that has USPS insurance (not 3rd party insurance) is Priority Mail Express. I have a chart for USPS First Class Package that I can send you if you'd like. Prices are by group and there are only 9 groups for the entire world so it will be much faster than using the tedious USPS rate calculator.

When I first opened shop I went to my local post office and we calculated the price to ship my package to most popular international destinations. Australia was one of the most expensive, but New Zealand was even more expensive. That was before all the new postal rates, so it may have changed.

I still find that New Zealand is more costs for USPS first class than the UK. I've had the most challenges shipping to the UK though, three first class packages were returned because the customers didn't claim them within 3 weeks.
