How to create a custom order and offer free shipping

Hi all,
Would someone be able to advise me on how to create a custom listing for a potential buyer, they are interested in possibly 20 sets of my coasters and I currently list the quantity for 1. Also, if the order is approved I will be offering them free shipping. I would also like advise on how that can be done as well.

Kathy, you can create a reserved listing like you normally create a new listing then against shipping put the amount as 0. By creating a reserved listing, I mean putting the word reserved listing before your listing's wordings.

Kathy, you can also create a custom order using the conversation venue. When you do it this way, the listing is private and not charged to you until the client buys it. Congratulations!!

Would this be done by copying and pasting the original listing, into a conversation and adjust the wording from that? Also, how would I change the shipping offer.

if the customer pressed the button for ask "a question" about an item, and if you have the "custom orders " turned on for your shop there should be a button that says "make this a custom listing" on the right side of the conversation when you have it open. click it and you can add a picture, writeup and shipping cost. When you publish it, only your customer will see the listing and they automatically receive a convo with a link to the listing.

otherwise i select "copy this listing" make the changes to pictures, shipping etc. put the words "Custom listing for......" in the title and the first line of the description and send a link to the listing in a convo to the customer. This option is public.

for free shipping
1 - create a free shipping profile with $0 in the shipping amount, or
2 - select custom shipping options for that listing and change the shipping cost to $0
