Shipping day

I could not find such a topic, that is why started a new thread. I have a question. My items are ready to be shipped in 1-2 business days and I have noted it in shipping policies.
I had a sale on Saturday night, Etsy counted two hours of Saturday and Sunday as those 1-2 business days which I have indicated. Is it how it happens? Of course 2 days are enough to send a ready item, but I had to professionally pack it and take some documents in the Ministry of Culture and so could not do all these things on weekend. I am just curious how business days are counted.

I would bring this to the attention of Etsy staff. I ship in one working day and never have to send on a weekend, I sell nearly ever Saturday at craft shows and US post offices are closed on Sunday so I couldn't manage either!

Business days are Monday through Friday and should not include Saturday or Sunday. Etsy doesn't take into account Federal Holidays, so those are included in the regular Monday-Friday day count.

Etsy considers orders placed on Saturday and Sunday to have the same 'ships by' date as orders placed the Friday before. If you have an order placed on Saturday with a 1-2 business day turn around time, the 'ships by' date should still be Tuesday though.

I've struggled with this shipping date challenge as I have a lot of weekend sales, which I don't technically find out about until Monday. My production time changes between 2-4 weeks depending on the season and it's frustrating to me that all the weekend and Friday orders would have the same Friday 'ships by' date.

If your orders placed on Saturday or Sunday were considered past-due or late on Monday, then you should contact Etsy since that should not happen. I believe the timing is set based on NYC time, so that may be part of the challenge if you are in a very different time zone.

Well I just got denied a refund for a shipping label that went into the trash. I had a duplicate label for another order and mix them up and the duplicate label went on another customer package and I did not realized the error until she reported a non delivery. so I had to paid twice to ship a package. Of course I remade the item that went to another customer. The only tracking that was on the one I requested was that I created the label and it info went to the Post office.

Anna, you can change your shipping profiles to 1 - 3 days if the problem continues. That would at least give you one more day.

Gwendolyn, since the label was used (although for the wrong order) it wouldn't be refunded.
