Shipping box source?

Does anyone have any recommendations for where to get a good price on shipping boxes? I've only been selling for a couple months and have been buying boxes at Walmart for a good price. They quit selling the one size I always use and now I can't find anything like it unless I pay double what I was paying. I do mostly First Class or Parcel Post so I can't use the priority mail boxes I have. Any suggestions?

Re: Shipping box source?

I use Papermart. They are the best / cheapest I've found so far. The boxes are super sturdy and easy to seal.

Specifically these:

Uline is where I get all my shipping stuff. I'm so lucky I live near the warehouse I can just pick up my supplies!

Thank you Cathy and Kori! Krystal, you are lucky you can save the shipping fee. That would solve my problem if there was a close warehouse!

Re: Shipping box source?

I have a lot of family and friends that shop online and they like to save me boxes. I get a variety of sizes and they even give me the bubble wrap and papers that are used in the boxes. That way, it doesn't cost me anything and it's helpful for the environment to reuse them, instead of just throwing it all away. I don't know if that's a way you can get them, but it's just a suggestion. Good luck!

Re: Shipping box source?

SaintAngel- I wish I had that kind of source! I also love to recycle as much as possible. Maybe I need to ask around more. Thanks!

Christina-- Thanks!

Re: Shipping box source?

I (however many times it's been said plus one) uline as well. They have a HUGE selection and even with shipping costs the prices are great.

I get my bubble mailers for my jewelry there for 19 cents a piece. that's less than a third what I was paying...

Re: Shipping box source?

Uline is the way to go. I bought a couple bubble mailers from WalMart out of necessity, but that price didn't turn out as low as 19 cents each!

Re: Shipping box source?

i just put an order in with Uline and even with the shipping, the boxes will be cheaper than the way im doing it now..with bubble envelopes from staples. which end up not protecting my items in their gift boxes from the post "i dont give a crap about your package" office. O_o

Re: Shipping box source?

Thank you, Gary for that link. They do look cheaper than Uline. Walmart was selling the size I want for 54 cents and I will be paying double with Uline when you add the shipping. I'm just spoiled now and don't want to pay over $1 for a box.

Re: Shipping box source?

I go to the local craft store and they save them for me, my daughter covers the old printing with pretty papers and they look wonderful and are free.

Re: Shipping box source?

Thank you, Marelle! That is a great idea! I actually went out this evening to try some other stores before I ordered some. I ran into a Big Lots store and a guy had a huge cart full of boxes he was taking to the trash. I said, "Hey can I have those?" He said "Help yourself!" so I grabbed as many as I could. I'm sure I'll need to buy some anyway but I think I will ask around more so I can recycle boxes already paid for.
